Two New Celebrity Footwear Collections on the Horizon

On the footwear front today, the unstoppable Nicole Richie has released exclusive images of her Spring '10 House of Harlow footwear collection. The shoes, set to debut in January at My-Wardrobe.com, stay true to her bohemian aesthetic featuring chunky platforms and Navajo-inspired detailing. Prices are to be determined.

In addition, rumor has it Victoria Beckham will be adding a footwear collection to her covetable VB clothing collection. "Victoria is tired of promoting other brands. If she wears Christian Louboutin or Hermès people go and buy it. She thought, 'Why can't I do this with my own line?'", said a friend of Victoria Beckham. Of course, hottie husband David Beckham supports her new venture offering to build her a design workshop. Tell me, would you be interested?

Freaky or Fabulous: Camilla Skovgaard Heels

Footwear designer Camilla Skovgaard is one to watch. Net-a-porter included a pair of her killer heels in their Autumn must haves and I fell in love with her footwear in May. These tassled heels are a key piece from the Spring 2010 collection and certainly play in to the new season trend for slip on mules (also seen at Chanel). I have mixed feelings about this shoe and I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Do you think these heels are freaky or fabulous?

The muse hosted NARs' 15th anniversary party in NYC yesterday decked out in the designer's ethereal alien dress and matching shoes. The sky-high platforms would have made a major statement on their own, but of course, Daphne took it to the next level and committed to the whole space-age ensemble - even her hair looks galactic! Marc Jacobs had a lot of fun in Paris for the Louis Vuitton Spring show, where models strutted down the catwalk with Afro hair and oversize accessories. The show must have felt like a relief for some of the girls as fears of tripping over were lessened with kitten heel shoes! After many seasons of sky-high heels and several slipups, the tides are changing and smaller platforms are back en mode. Are you pleased for its return, or do you prefer to suffer for style?

On Our Radar: Rebecca Taylor Launches Accessories

Amongst the bevy of cute animal prints and flowy fabrics in Rebecca Taylor's Spring collection were some amazing handbags, shoes, and jewels. These confections were actually from her newly launched accessories line, debuting in stores come Spring.

“It’s something that we’ve been wanting to do for a long time,” said Taylor. “Every woman loves shoes and handbags. We didn’t want to start it unless it was in a very meaningful way.”

Taylor's collection, priced from $300 to $400 for footwear and $150 to $300 for jewelry, will encompass the designer's pretty-meets-urban style. Boots and flats have a funky edge, while bags and jewels are embellished with crystals and sequins such as the handbag seen here.

The collection will be sold at select online retailers and Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
