Sneak Preview: River Island Spring 2010
Earlier this week, I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview in to the new year Spring collection for River Island. The pieces reminded me why I love Spring so much with plenty of bright colours and beautiful embellishment. For Spring River Island have included a lot of statement jackets (which I'm already lusting after) and, as usual, amazing heels.

In another life, I would have been a forest nymph roaming the earth in an array of floaty chiffon, glittery eyes, and diaphanous wings. Sigh. For now, I'll just daydream in Lerario Beatriz's supernatural Spring '10 collection.
Is Emma Watson Working with YSL?
Emma Watson's campaign with Burberry was a huge success and boosted the star's profile in the fashion world. She has since moved across the Atlantic to attend Brown University, but it seems she is still rubbing shoulders with the fashion elite. Earlier this week she was spotted at an ice hockey game in New York with Spanish rock star Rafael Cebrian and Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati.
Victoria Beckham Creates Sleeker, Chicer Denim For Spring
Say so long to dVb and hello to Victoria Beckham Denim. The posh mama, who practically lives in her skinny jeans, is giving her denim a high-end makeover come Spring '10. This time around, the line will focus on funky cigarette styles in classic hues and pastel colors, as well as a vintage range.
Fab Ad: Derek Lam, Spring '10
Derek Lam likes to keep his friends close and his models closer. After seeing Ginta Lapina on his arm at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards last week, we found the model posing in Lam's new Spring campaign. "We went back to the beach, but it’s a dreamy world of cream-colored sand, highlighted by pops of color from vibrant clothing and accessories," said Creative Director Doug Lloyd.
What to Expect on the High Street Next Spring
Attending catwalk shows and reporting back is always exciting, but when you see the High Street interpretations it gives you an idea of how the trends will really manifest. Yesterday, Arcadia held their Spring press day which presented the items due to hit store from January 2010. Although I can't show you any images just yet (patience is a virtue!) I wanted to tell you a bit about what to expect.
Freaky or Fabulous: Camilla Skovgaard Heels
Footwear designer Camilla Skovgaard is one to watch. Net-a-porter included a pair of her killer heels in their Autumn must haves and I fell in love with her footwear in May. These tassled heels are a key piece from the Spring 2010 collection and certainly play in to the new season trend for slip on mules (also seen at Chanel).
Fab Face: Lily Donaldson
Lily Donaldson was a key fixtures on the catwalks in New York, London, Paris and Milan. The British model strutted her stuff at some of the biggest shows of the season including Valentino, Burberry, and Lanvin. The variation in design houses that she represented shows off her versatility as a model and confirms her place as one of the world's top models.
