The classic Shaker style of the Gaiam Step Basket ($29, from $60) may not appeal to the modernists out there, but I think we can all appreciate its functionality. Maybe it's just me, but I think the mother of every friend I had growing up used to leave her family's things (sneakers, magazines, laundry, etc.) at the base of the stairs to be picked up. There's nothing neat about leaving things laying on the stairs, but a step basket will keep things looking tidy, and you can carry it with you on your way up.

Connection to endometrial cancer
Excess estrogen appears to play a role in the development of both gallstones and endometrial cancer. One study found that women who had undergone cholecystectomy (surgery to remove the gallbladder) had a 50% increased risk of developing endometrial cancer. The connection was weaker in women who developed asymptomatic gallstones.

Hello CasaSugar,
I was wondering if you would have any advice on dealing with noisy upstairs neighbors in an apartment complex. I've already spoken to them about it, but honestly, it's not their fault! The noise isn't music or anything, it's just that the ceiling is so horrifically thin that I can hear every step they take (I live below two guys) as if they were wearing lead boots!

Multiple remotes are the bane of my nesting existence. I'm excited whenever we get a new gadget or console, but when I see new remotes or controllers, I curse a little to myself.
These Remote Control Pockets for the Wii, just $8 each, are my first step to corralling my remote mess.

Sometimes combining two unpleasant activities can make both tasks easier to do. Adding squats to the dreaded act of folding laundry, gets two tasks completed simultaneously. How efficient!

Perhaps one of the oldest and most trusted brands of strollers is Maclaren. Known for their ease of use and simple style, the English born brand is a top seller worldwide. The hard part comes when you have to pick which Maclaren to purchase.

David Beckham was down three members of his cheering squad last night, but luckily Tom Cruise was right there to step in. Tom's good deeds don't end with supporting his BFF on the soccer field — he also showed there's no bad blood between him and his ex Nicole Kidman, sending a huge baby basket to Nicole and Keith to celebrate the arrival of Sunday Rose from the whole Cruise family. While we're not holding our breath for a play date with Suri and Sunday, it's always nice to hear about blended families getting along and sharing in all the happy times.

It's a few days late for Easter, but I just had to share this cake. I was looking through TeamSugar and came across Bettyesque's Carrot Cake Easter Basket. I loved how she provided the recipe and gave us step-by-step directions on how to make the cake on our own.
