I had gone into pre-term contractions at 33 weeks, but was able to stop the progression of the pre-term labor for 6 weeks. Suffering, the mild contractions every couple minutes to half hour, I had a pre-natal checkup on June 9 (week 39) at around 1:30 p.m.

A person's story starts before he or she is born. Heritage, conception, and pregnancy aside, there's an amazing tale to be told of how each baby enters the world. Here is my son's:
It was 3:53 a.m., almost 14 hours after I had been admitted for induction, and the monitor was no longer picking up my baby's heartbeat.

Rumor has it, Google will be playing with the big boys when they run an ad during this year's Super Bowl. Google has never been one to advertise — although they did release a series of Chrome commercials last year, and put an ad on the Google homepage for the Nexus One — we've never seen an ad for their search engine. That could all change today.

Post-holiday, after spending more time with my family than I do all year, I've had plenty of time to reflect on this zany group of people. While I was certainly ready to come back to my own life after the holidays were over, there really is no place like home. And it wouldn't be home without most of my family members asking for tech help in one way or another (of course!).

Back in April we got a taste of Toy Story 3 with this little teaser, but that was nothing compared to the full-length trailer. It doesn't take much more than Randy Newman's voice and a few flashbacks to Andy's life with Woody, Buzz, and the gang to remind me how Pixar can be so damn emotionally manipulative — in the best way, of course.
In the movie's third installment, little Andy is all grown up and heading off to college.

When I was growing up, one of my family's favorite holiday movies was A Christmas Story, which chronicles one holiday season in the life of Ralphie Parker, a young boy growing up in the '40s in Indiana who dreams of owning a Red Rider BB gun. The movie has lots of great period details, some of which would look great in a modern home. Source
