OK, so maybe you don't buy into all the teensy piggie hype. I hear ya — some animals that reach "fad" status, especially those praised for tiny, teacup sizes, can have health issues or be discarded. .

Our two-and-a-half year old had a blast this Halloween, trick or treating in his little elephant costume. I'm almost 5 months pregnant, so I drew and cut out a circus peanut and taped it to my belly.

I've tried three different collars and two harnesses before settling into this, a pink nylon one with a plastic clip buckle, a green leather one from the AKC with the clip buckle, and a red leather belt type collar. None of them held up.

Remember that 80s movie Look Who's Talking where Bruce Willis was the voice of the chubby baby born to Kirstie Alley? I often wonder what newborns are thinking because they try to communicate much earlier than their voices allow them to. If they could put their thoughts into words, would they sound anything like those printed on the riotous Haute Stuff baby onesies?
