Girls Get Leggy At The VMAs

The ladies were showing off their sass on the red carpet at last night's MTV VMAs. Just about the only girl not showing off her legs was Rihanna who certainly wasn't hiding her hot bod. It all looks good for a steamy Vegas night. What did you think about all the red carpet looks and beauty? Jennifer Garner was definitely a little bit of a random addition to the crew, but looked stunning! Ashlee was another highlight - though really she's 100% not the girl from her MTV show. Overall though, the ladies did the MTV red carpet right - keeping it light, fun and funky. Rewind for a sec back to Garner, yowza! ...K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Not really. But they made an appearance together at a press conference to try to explain away all of Tara's crowning achievements in the areas of drug, alcohol, and partying abuse since taking the throne. With verbal vomit flowing and a smile plastered on her face, Tara reminds us why she won the title in the first place- she can bullsh*t with the best of them. So VH1 "remastered" the footage a bit and, despite the retina damaging glow from Tara's overly whitened teeth, it's well worth your attention.

What is it with the name "Tara"? Why do "trouble" and "Tara" go hand in hand? Tara Reid, as we all know, went from being America's sweetheart in American Pie to a synonym for "trashtastic mess on heels." (Yes, we know, Tara's reforming...) Then, there's Tera Patrick, adult film star turned FHM covergirl. And most recently, Tara Conner, Miss America, has been in a lot of hot water for Paris Hilton-like antics. Thoughts, anyone? Any counter-examples of good Taras? More examples of bad Taras?

Get Caught Up For Tonight - Project Runway Wrap-Up

The drama continued on last week's episode of Project Runway. See our recap to get you ready for tonight. You can catch tonight's episode at 10/9c on Bravo.

The challenge: to design a pageant gown for Tara Conner, Miss USA, to wear in last Sunday night's Miss Universe pageant (The beauty contest was eventually won by Miss Puerto Rico, who promptly passed out).

The contestants went through a pageant of their own as each of them pitched Miss USA on designs to meet her requirements of earth tones, low backs and tasteful necklines. Seven designers were chosen to realize their visions and they - in a manner reminiscent of my second grade kickball memories - each chose a partner to be on their team. And, of course, drama ensued.

Vera Wang, queen of the evening gown, and Ms. Conner herself were the guest judges as Michael Kors sat this one out.

When the dust settled, the surprise loser was Malan, who spewed out this horrible brown design:

And, no surprise, Kayne, the pageant gown designer, won with this shimmering purple gown:

Angela won "Biggest Beatch" for her unveiled attempt to suck up to Kayne in the hopes of hitching her wagon to his star.

When Vincent finally was stuck with her, she spent the entire episode reminding him how horrible the gown looked. No one likes her.

Keith totally creeped us out as he attempted to cop a feel on Miss USA during his pitch, and gushed "I want to see your legs... They're gorgeous..."

We understand what fitted looks like without you grabbing the Girls! Next time keep your hands off the judges.

Malan's vision missed the mark and brought to an end one of the more interesting and colorful characters on the show. And he was just starting to open up to us about how his mom abused him and he had no real friends! *sniff* Mark my words, he'll be back -- his crazy accent alone should buy him more airtime!

Should Miss America Tara Conner Be Dethroned?

Controversy over at the ultra-modern Miss America pageant. Word has it that by the time this posts, Tara Conner will have been dethroned for underage drinking, testing positive for cocaine, French-kissing Miss Teen USA, and being a general crazy-ass party girl. What do you think?
