Venice Film Festival took place throughout the first few weeks of September as some of Hollywood's biggest names headed to the Italian city to promote their latest movies. Amongst those films being promoted were Tom Ford's A Single Man which sees his directorial debut and Eva Mendes' latest offering, The Bad Lieutenant. Matt and Luciana Are Glamorous and Informed in Venice

Matt Damon and Luciana stepped out in their finest formal wear at the Venice Film Festival premiere of The Informant! yesterday. The duo has already made a bit of a vacation out of the trip including a date night before Matt's photo call for the film. His weight gain for the role seems to be all anyone can talk about before the movie comes out in a few weeks, but Matt was svelte as ever in his three piece suit hand in hand with his wife. Matt's friend George also dropped his anchor down at the festival yesterday so we'll see if the buddies can get in any more QT after their Lake Como weekend earlier in the Summer.

On Our Radar: Tilda Swinton for Pringle of Scotland

Pringle of Scotland have previously signed up Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof, and more recently, Karlie Kloss to front their advertising campaigns. This morning, it has been revealed that the brand is honouring its roots for Spring 2010 as it taps Tilda Swinton.

The actress will be shot by Ryan McGinley for the campaign which is being referred to as a "collaboration" between the brand, photographer and Tilda. The shoot will take place in August and it will be unveiled at London Fashion Week in September as Pringle celebrates it's 195th anniversary. The Scottish brand announced it's return to London Fashion Week last month.

Tilda will model both the mens and womenswear against a country landscape. Benoit Duverger, director of global communications at Pringle commented, “We don’t want to go away from [our traditional customers] - we believe Tilda is more inclusive, as both young and more mature people identify with her acting.” What do you think of this collaboration?

This morning brought a snowstorm to the Cannes Film Festival as Colin Firth, Robin Wright Penn, Jim Carrey (along with Jenny McCarthy) promoted their new version of A Christmas Carol, with Jim getting into a "snowball" fight with photographers! Meanwhile over the weekend, there were plenty of red carpet premieres including Taking Woodstock, Agora and Vengeance with stars including Rachel Weisz, Michelle Yeoh, Evangeline Lilly, Max Minghella, Emile Hirsch, Demitri Martin, Monica Belluci, and Tilda Swinton. Meanwhile the weekend's parties and social events attracted Paris Hilton, Peaches Geldof, Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish, VV Brown, Deborah Harry, Olivia Palermo and many more.

2009 Cannes Film Festival: Tilda Swinton

Wahoo - the 2009 Cannes Film Festival has begun! It was just reported the lavish festival will be toned down this year - Vanity Fair dismissed its black-tie annual and Louis Vuitton didn't book its usual table at the amfAR dinner - but we can still expect fashion on the red carpet from the likes of Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz, and the enigmatic Tilda Swinton.

Tilda is up first for your judging pleasure. Her monochrome bordeaux layered Haider Ackermann ensemble may also be toned down, but it sure is flattering. Doesn't she look so tall and statuesque? And the mix of materials is lovely.

This is just the amuse-bouche. Look forward to fetes hosted by Dolce & Gabbana and Dsquared2, guaranteed to provide controversial fashion fare.

Movie Preview: The Limits of Control

Director Jim Jarmusch comes from a fruitful era of independent film in the '80s, when directors including Spike Lee, Steven Soderbergh and Gus Van Sant were young filmmakers just beginning to make their mark in cinema. Where the others have gone on to enjoy some variation of mainstream success, Jarmusch has continued on with business as usual, making art-house films that often attract a cult following.

His newest film, The Limits of Control, is out now in limited release and stars Tilda Swinton, Isaach De Bankolé, Gael García Bernal, and Bill Murray. It's not getting the greatest reviews, but even when Jarmusch goes wrong, it's wrong in an interesting way. This film is described as essentially plot-less and simply follows a lone hit man. Kate Moss Heads From One Party to Another

Kate Moss finally hit the London Fashion Week parties last night, bringing Jamie Hince along to a bash for Another Magazine, which is edited by her ex, Jefferson Hack. Kanye West and his girlfriend Amber Rose joined Kate at the Double Club to toast the current issue's cover girl, Tilda Swinton. Kate kept the midnight oil burning with an afterparty at her friend's house, heading home with Jamie at 5 a.m. Never one to let her partying get in the way of some retail therapy, she was up bright and early today to shop her way around the city in pink with her assistant Fiona before she joined another pal for a trip to the Queen's Pub.

Kate's In The Pink After Partying

Kate Moss looked bright and cheerful while doing some shopping this afternoon in a striking pink top! Kate was out and about in North London, having spent the night on the town last night. She attended the Spring/Summer launch party for Another Magazine with her man Jamie Hince and looked stunning in her all black outfit of a mini dress and long blazer, partying alongside Tilda Swinton, Kanye West and Lily Cole. She apparently returned home at 5am this morning, but on her leisurely shopping trip she covered any signs of her late night with some handy sunnies! Nice work, Kate!
