Natalie, Tobey, and Amanda Bring Family to See Brothers

Natalie Portman in brilliant blue stole the spotlight last night at a screening of Brothers in NYC. One of her two leading men, Tobey Maguire, joined her on the red carpet along with his wife Jennifer Meyer, though Jake Gyllenhaal missed the event. Amanda Peet was right by her husband David Benioff's side, supporting his latest screenwriting effort. Natalie was caught up in New Moon mania last week, but yesterday was all about her own upcoming project - check out the moving trailer before its release on December 4.

Jay-Z Has Basketball Stars in His Eyes and Babies on the Brain

There were many famous faces in LA last night to see the Lakers take on the New Orleans Hornets. Khloe and Robert Kardashian were front and center to support Lamar Odom, who opened up about wanting to expand their family in the near future. Jay-Z went straight from the game to his performance last night after stops in Germany for the EMAs and NYC for the Yankees victory parade. He apparently also has babies on the mind, recently revealing to a friend that it is high on both his and Beyonce's to-do lists. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kevin Connolly seem content with their bachelor lifestyles, as they recuperated from a night out with Lindsay by hanging with Tobey Maguire and concentrating on all the action down on the court.

Stars Scare Themselves Silly at the Scream Awards

Los Angeles played host to the Spike TV Scream Awards last night, attracting a cavalcade of stars from those movies and TV shows that deal with all things supernatural. Taylor Lautner attended to pick up the Breakthrough Performance award for his role as Jacob Black, while unfortunately his costar Robert Pattinson couldn't attend to pick up the Best Fantasy Actor award. Megan Fox picked up the Best Sci-Fi Actress award, while True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin - who are a couple on and off screen - won Best Horror Actor and Actress awards respectively. Other presenters and guests at the awards included Johnny Depp, Kate Bosworth, Harrison Ford, Eliza Dushku and Justin Long. It looks like a fun night!

Taylor, Johnny, Megan & Vampires Make Scream Awards Sexy

The Spike Scream Awards took over the Greek Theater in LA on Saturday night, bringing together the biggest names in Horror, Fantasy, Comics and Science Fiction. Vampires were of course some of the biggest winners of the night and the stars of The Vampire Diaries and True Blood were all in attendance. Kate Bosworth presented a statue to Alexander Skarsgard, amid rumors that there's something going on between them. Taylor Lautner was the only Twilight representative and debuted the "Behind the Scenes" New Moon footage, which wasn't much though more may come when the show actually airs. There were rumors that Kristen Stewart would make a cameo since she was back in LA, but fans were still satisfied to see sexy Taylor representing and all the shirtless Wolf Pack in the footage from the upcoming film. Johnny Depp accepted a spike for the incomplete Alice in Wonderland as well as presented an award of immortality to Keith Richards. Megan Fox expressed her gratitude to the Transformers franchise while Stephen Moyer had one of the sweetest moments of the night when he thanked the True Blood producers for being "surprising matchmakers."

On the red carpet, one of the night's winners Isabel Lucas chatted about spending last Halloween with Shia LaBeouf, though she admitted that the holiday isn't huge in her native Australia. She looked great in her Chanel dress and Jimmy Choo shoes even without getting a drop of sleep the night before. Eliza Dushku was sexy posing for the cameras and presenting with Dave Navarro - garnering cheers from her fans the whole time. Justin Long was out to support one of the night's big winners Drag Me to Hell and was friendly as he made his way into the awards. Brothers - See It or Skip It?

The trailer for new movie Brothers has just made it's debut, featuring Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. Since watching the clip it's become one of my most anticipated upcoming releases. The movie is the story of a man who comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan. When he eventually returns from war, tension is caused as his brother and his wife have got a little too close. Watch the trailer and let me know - will you see it when it's released at the end of the year?

Introducing Otis Tobias Maguire!

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer were out with their daughter, Ruby, 2, and their new bundle of joy, Otis, over the weekend. The foursome recently revealed the one-month-old's name which is Otis Tobias. The baby's middle name is after his famous father.

Tobey Has Family Weekend as We Meet His Brothers

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer brought their two kids out for a little shopping trip in LA on Sunday. Ruby Sweetheart held onto daddy's hand while her 2-month-old brother, whose name we learned this weekend - Otis Tobias Maguire - chilled in his stroller being pushed by mom. Tobey spends most of his time being a family man these days, but this December his highly anticipated Brothers will pull us back in to his acting talent. Buzz has the first trailer for the film, which also stars Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal - check it out here to see why there are already whispers of Oscar surrounding the heart-wrenching story.

Movie Preview: Portman, Gyllenhaal and Maguire in Brothers

Based on Susanne Bier's 2004 film and directed by Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father), Brothers tells the story of a young man (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) who "comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan." The older brother is played by Tobey Maguire and the wife is played by Natalie Portman, and from the looks of the trailer, the wife ends up getting very close with her brother-in-law, which causes some tension when her husband returns home from war.

For whatever reason, I have a hard time buying Portman as a mother of two but otherwise the movie looks intense and heart-wrenching. Brothers opens Dec. 4 and you can check out the trailer for it if you read more.

Matthew and Catherine Celebrate Michael's Body of Work

Michael Douglas was the man of the evening last night as he received an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in LA. He hit the red carpet on the arm of his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, while his Ghosts of Girlfriends Past costar Matthew McConaughey brought along Camila Alves. Kiefer Sutherland and Tobey Maguire took the stage to pay tribute to their pal Michael, and Catherine even brought out her Chicago skills for a song-and-dance number in her husband's honor. Michael's been a Hollywood heavyweight for decades, but we'll see more of him on the big screen in the Wall Street sequel and, according to Catherine, a project they're looking to star in together.

Lakers Win NBA Final Game One With All-Star Cheerleaders

Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Lakers put on quite a show for their fans, confidently beating Orlando in game one of the NBA finals last night. The celebrity contingent was strong at the Staples Center for those lucky enough to score seats including season-long supporters Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Kevin Connolly. Blond beauties Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad accompanied their boyfriends Tony Romo and Kyle Howard to watch the game. Lauren enjoyed a romantic day of shopping with Kyle earlier in the week, though LC doesn't look like she minds this venue much either. The Lakers cheering section has a few nights off before game two in LA on Sunday night, but the crowd is sure to be just as star-studded when the team takes the court again.
