Candy Spelling Publicly Attacks Tori...Again!

When Candy Spelling wrote an appreciation of Mommy Dearest, Joan Crawford, my eyes popped. While her recent attack on daughter Tori via TMZ isn't as shocking, it still bewilders the mother in me. I have a vested interest in this subject. My daughter, Tori's, two-part season finale revolves around my granddaughter's first birthday party

I did get an invitation just in time for the RSVP deadline. I'm sure its delivery will be on next week's episode with some comment about my house or driveway or street or something they won't like. I wonder if that will be spread out over one part or two. Sigh.

A big party wasn't how I envisioned meeting my granddaughter for the first time; but, hey, this is Hollywood, and my grandchildren have become reality show props, too.

Interview with Tori Spelling: She Talks Family Ties and 90210

Tori Spelling is a Mott's mama. In addition to raising two children, the actress-turned-reality star-turned-author has teamed up with the apple juice and sauce company to create a downloadable playdate planner for mothers looking to simplify their kids' social calendars.

Best known for playing Donna Martin on her father's mega hit, Beverly Hills 90210, the star has strayed from her glitzy upbringing to create a down-to-earth foundation for her own party of five - husband, Dean McDermott, stepson, Jack, 9, son, Liam, 17-months and two-month-old daughter, Stella. While the media often focuses on the rift between the celeb and her mother, Candy - in conversation, it's clear that Tori's priority is to keep the communication lines open with her own children. Whether the 35-year-old is talking about Liam holding his lil sis for the first time, planning pirate playdates or suggesting her tot take Shiloh Jolie-Pitt as a girlfriend, it's evident that Tori is deeply committed to her kids.

Currently penning her second book, Mommywood, which hits shelves next Spring and waiting to see if Oxygen is going to pick up Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood for a fourth season, the celeb took time to chat with me about her latest endeavors. Lilsugar: You grew up with the best of things longing for a more normal life. Being that you lead a very public life and have a reality show, have you given up that goal?
Tori: Everyone has their own version of normal and we're definitely trying to live a normal life. On the outside there's the paparazzi, but what I create at home is a very normal environment for our entire family and that is what I long to give Liam.

Lilsugar: It's hectic for any mom to try to take her kids out, how do you deal with the paparazzi and your children's safety?
Tori: That one is really hard. We try to maintain as much privacy as we can and sometimes it's just unavoidable. They don't make it easy. I don't know if I could take both kids out alone. It's really helpful to have Dean or someone come out with me.

Lilsugar: Is parenthood what you expected?
Tori: It's just amazing. The best advice I ever listened to was when someone told me not to listen to anyone's advice because it's an individual experience and as a mom your instincts take over and that's the best thing.

Lilsugar: It's been rumored that your mother is writing a book, what do you think about it? Are you nervous of what she will tell?
Tori: I know nothing about it. I just read it like you. Nervous? No. Everyone has their own stories to tell about their life and everyone is entitled to do so. If she feels she needs to do that then I am all for it. Writing my book was very cathartic and I loved putting it out there.

Lilsugar: What's your best tip for mothers?
Tori: The best thing we've done with Liam is talked to him. We describe everything to him and we don't talk to him like he's a baby. His vocabulary is amazing and he understands so much and he's so happy. It's important to communicate with your child. Now that we've seen that it works, we're doing the same thing with Stella even though she's just two-months.

Lilsugar: Now that you have a son and a daughter, does it remind you of your relationship with your brother, Randy?
Tori: When we were young there was always a big age difference. He was 5 and I was 10 and we were never at the right ages, but then we got to be adults and it seemed like there was no age difference. I'm really excited about Stella and Liam growing up because they are so close in age, I think they will be best friends.

Lilsugar: Are you planning on having more kids?
Tori: If we are able to have more children that would be amazing. We definitely would love to have more children, but we want to take a break right now and focus on Liam, Stella and Jack and let them all become friends and then think about that in the future.

Lilsugar: What's your greatest hope for your children?
Tori: Gosh. Just love - to find love. My biggest thing is I want them to be communicative. I want our whole family to be able to talk about everything. Emotionally, I didn't have a lot of communication in my family growing up and I think it affected me as an adult. I want my children to feel like they can come to us about anything and that we can talk about everything. I can only hope that they find love the way I found it with Dean and that they have an amazing family.

Lilsugar: Since your father passed away, how do you keep his spirit alive for your children?
Tori: I have such amazing stories about my dad that I'll be able to tell Liam as he's growing up. We actually have a family wall in our new house and it has pictures of the family and the kids and there's a picture of my dad. Liam will never be able to be with him, but he'll definitely know who he was...

Lilsugar: Like many mothers, I grew up watching 90210 so I have to ask - there are rumors circulating that you are not going to be part of the spin-off since your salary didn't match that of the other stars. Is that true?
Tori: We don't know where those comments came from. I am currently not going to be involved, but I hope it does work out for the future and I don't want to discuss the reason why. But, it makes me sad that people posted that today. It should be about the show and not about monetary things.

Lilsugar: So, there's a chance you might be on it?
Tori: Um, maybe in the future.

Spelling Saga Continues - Sucks to be Tori

Daddy's little girl is not getting spoiled anymore. Aaron Spelling is leaving behind a $500 million fortune but it looks like Tori will get less than $1 million. Extra reports:

As the tabloid-soaked story makes the latest cover of Us Weekly, the magazine's Katrina Szish told us the feud could turn into a dynasty duel. "Extra" has obtained a copy of Spelling's will, and the secret inside could spell trouble for Tori.

"Tori and her mom, Candy, have been estranged and feuding for years," Szish said. "Candy is executor of the will, and therefore she is in charge of divvying up the $500 million fortune."

Us Weekly reports that Tori is set to inherit $200,000, plus $600,000 in investments, that is unless Tori's mother wants to give her more.

"Tori, Aaron's only daughter is getting less than a million dollars," Szish said. "And Candy's manicurist will get $25,000, and their home decorator will get $50,000."

Damn. That's gotta hurt. I wonder if Dean is now pissed he left his wife and kids for what he thought was a sure thing in terms of money and instead they will be in the poor house - at least in Hollywood terms.

Tori Pisses Off Her Parents

Tori Spelling's parents are cutting her off. They have seen the new show on VH1 and are very offended by how the show makes fun of them. Page Six reports:

TORI Spelling's parents, Aaron and Candy, have stopped speaking to her, sources say. "There is a scene in the first episode of her new show, 'So noTORIous,' in which she makes fun of the eBay room in her parents' house," a friend says. "Her mother has a huge shopping problem and has a whole room dedicated to the stuff she buys on the site. When Candy saw the episode, she threatened Tori and said she was going to sue her." Apparently, Tori and Candy's relationship had been strained for some time. Pals of Tori say when she and Dean McDermott got engaged, she sent her "cold" mother a note, inviting her to meet McDermott. "Candy sent back a note saying only, 'You need to get your things out of the apartment.' " (Tori and her ex-husband, Charlie Shanian, had lived in an apartment owned by her mom.) "The Insider" reports Spelling and McDermott plan to wed this summer.

I wonder if the parents will make it to wedding #2. Doesn't sound like Daddy is footing the bill for this one. Maybe that's why she said it would be only 20 people. I have also heard about this infamous eBay room but I heard it was more about re-gifting all the stuff they get from people. Either way, I am looking forward to checking out this new show on VH1.

This Just In: Hayden Panettiere Buys a House to Cheer About

Hayden Panettiere, better known as Claire Bennet the cheerleader who cannot die on NBC's Heroes, has taken time out from saving the whales to drop $2.635 million on a house in Los Angeles, according to Real Estalker.

The teenage Panettiere, who'll turn 20 next year, has room to grow in the 3,120-square-foot, three-bedroom, thee-bath house, which was constructed in 1962. The house, which is definitely modern in look and feel, features floor-to-ceiling windows, an open, loft-style layout, a newly renovated kitchen, a swimming pool, a stone fireplace, and a large deck, perfect for entertaining (or throwing huge parties).

I think that this house is a nice choice, and while it's bigger than most noncelebs' homes, it's less than half the size of many celeb mansions, such as Tori Spelling's new pad. I think this could be a really stunning house if Panettiere gets the right designer in there. Perhaps Top Design's Preston Lee is available?

Tori is Forced to Sell Her House

Tori sure does love putting her hair in little pigtails and braids. We aren't big fans of that look on grown women but we'll give her a break since she seems to be having a tough time of it lately. The poor girl is pregnant and broke! You know she's been selling off all of her stuff and now she's selling her house as well. Here's more:

Tori Spelling - who has been selling off her clothes and household goods in online auctions - is also putting her house on the market.

The former “90210” star has been auctioning off her belongings through Sharon Yost, a Los Angeles woman who specializes in selling off estates belonging to film types, and now Yost is advertising on her Web site that Spelling’s Studio City house will be up for grabs on Dec. 8 through 10.

Don't worry though, Tori won't be homeless. She's moving into an apartment with husband Dean McDermott in Brentwood. They are also set to star in a reality show on Oxygen where they will both run a bed and breakfast to pay the rent. For more pics of the two taking a walk just read more

Celebs Love Playboy And Puppies

An interesting assortment of celebrities headed to the Playboy mansion this weekend for the Much Love Animal Rescue Benefit. Hef himself was nowhere to be seen, but Haylie & Hilary Duff were there keeping up their philanthropic sides. Unfortunately it looks like Hilary left her two dogs at home, though that red carpet puppy is pretty adorable, too. Meanwhile, Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin had a mini Full House reunion - no sign of MK & Ashley, boo. We have to say though that the puppies stole the show and won our hearts - any celebrity looks good cuddling up to one of those cute doggies.
