Time T-Shirt: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

Rocking a geeky watch is one thing, but this Time T-Shirt ($37) with a fully-functional digital clock ups the ante. The shirt uses electro-luminescence technology - a very weak electric current that passes through the shirt, causing the material to generate light and display the time. Don't worry, it doesn't radiate heat or use hazardous materials.

The shirt is powered by two AAA batteries (ha! How many times do you get to read a sentence that geeky?), and is 100 percent cotton and completely machine-washable. What do you think?

Doesn't this click wheel nano t-shirt by PodWare remind you of those cutsey wootsey baby iPod jumpers? The only difference is these T's have a special pocket to fit your 1st or 2nd generation iPod nano (also available for shuffles). Featured on Gadgetress, these $26 T-shirts come in a variety of designs and sizes for both men and women. I often worry about things falling out of my pockets in general, so I can't imagine carrying my iPod in my T-shirt. What are your thoughts?

I love the deep navy blue hue of this particular area rug, but if blue's not your bag, Talkingsquid makes these rugs in a variety of colors and sizes. Constructed from discarded t-shirts, Talkingsquid hand cuts t-shirt strips and sews them onto a durable cotton jersey t-shirt base. You can handwash the smaller size rugs on the delicate cycle, but larger rugs (such as the five by eight foot size), should ideally be dry cleaned, given their size.

Philanthropy Runs in the Family For Salma and Francois-Henri

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault were together in Rennes, France on Saturday for an event with one of their favorite soccer teams. The couple, who are known to enthusiastically enjoy taking in matches together, linked up with the Leukodystrophy Association to kick off a campaign that raises money for degenerative brain diseases. Salma and Francois-Henri brought along Valentina for the afternoon, and their daughter even modeled one of the charity's t-shirts for children. It's great to see the Pinaults getting involved in a good cause this holiday season, encouraging philanthropy when some families need it the most.

Trend Alert: Printed T-shirt

Ever since I spotted Emma Watson in a YSL printed t-shirt at the Yves Saint Laurent spring show I have been on a search for the perfect printed top. The best thing about t-shirts is that you can get a funky designer version for under £100. One of my favourites is the See by Chloe abstract print t-shirt (£50) which is a bit of a bargain for a piece of Chloe attire.

This season the printed t-shirt is all about graphic prints and 3D applique for example, Sonia Rykiel's velvet bow t-shirt (£335).

The High Street also has some great options including one from the Gold by Giles for New Look collection. This season the collaboration included diamante robot print tee (£18).

Funky t-shirts are more flexible than you might first imagine. You can team with jeans for a casual look or (like Emma) with high waisted trousers and heels for smarter attire. See below for some other options currently available.

Trend Alert: Cat Print T-shirts

This may seem like a slightly crazy trend but it is definitely a catwalk item that will easily transfer to the High Street. Cat print t-shirts appeared on the catwalk at Paul & Joe (left) as a t-shirt dress but you can get shorter versions on the High Street.

Large t-shirts worn as a dress have an obvious '80s feel although teaming with bright colour sandals makes the look more contemporary. You can wear a big t-shirt over shorts/hot-pants for a more wearable look, also you could clinch the waist with a vintage belt if you find that a large tee drowns you slightly.

Public Library Brings Its Funky T-Shirts Online

Polaroid T-Shirt: Love It or Leave It?

The Polaroid cameras and the film that goes with them will soon be discontinued, but here's a way to keep the old tech going: Wear it! This Polaroid T-shirt may be in the "young mens" section at Macy's, but it's unisex enough, especially for geeky girls with a penchant for instant cameras.
