NPH Hosts the Star-Studded TV Land Awards

Neil Patrick Harris played captain at last night's TV Land Awards in LA, bringing together stars for yet another night to celebrate classic television. Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell were just two of the comedic actors who helped liven up the evening along with stars like Teri Hatcher, who also made time to attend Saturday's attending the GLAAD Awards. Matthew McConaughey wore his award show uniform after spending Saturday promoting Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Jennifer Garner, joking with the press about marriage and raising kids in Hollywood. The awards show won't air until April 26, but it looks like it has the potential for a lot of laughs with the fun group of celebrities who attended.

Twilight Leads the People's Choice Awards Nominations

The 36th annual People's Choice Awards nominees are here, and last year's Twilight is leading the charge! American Idol's Kris Allen was among the announcers this morning for the nominees, which also include lots of nods for The Proposal - but of course, everyone's favorite bloodsucking love story landed in many categories, including favorite on-screen movie team.

Why didn't they look to 2009's New Moon? Because last year's nominations debuted before the first movie in the Twilight saga.

Neil Patrick Harris headed to the gym yesterday with a big bottle of water ready to go. He's got a special reason to stay fit these days - NPH is hosting the Tony Awards in a couple of weeks. He already got some practice at the TV Land Awards, and hopefully we'll get treated to fun performances showcasing Neil Patrick's awesome singing voice and stage charisma come June 7.

Wonder Woman: Rachel Weisz Wants to End World Hunger

Oscar winner, fashion muse, hunger advocate and mother, Rachel Weisz, juggles quite a few roles in addition to those that land her on the big screen. The British-born actress is about to embark on a whirlwind media blitz to promote her three new films this Summer, including The Brothers Bloom, which opens this week, and The Lovely Bones. While the tour of television studios will give us a better opportunity to see the beauty on our small screens, it doesn't mean the actress will be converting to the Hollywood lifestyle.

Known for intensely keeping her family-life private, Weisz and her fiancé Darren Aronofsky, director of the Oscar-winning film The Wrestler, welcomed son Henry Chance almost three years ago and quietly live in Manhattan's East Village, far from the glitz and glamour of other Tinseltown stars. Following the filming of her Academy Award-winning role as murdered Kenyan aid worker Tessa Quayle in The Constant Gardener, Weisz joined the UN's World Food Programme to bring global awareness to the hunger and poverty issues facing children around the world, saying:

"Every new mother wonders what will I pass on. Hunger is one inheritance no mother wants to give her child, yet millions of poor mothers have for generations. Help WFP break this cycle. No child inherit hunger."

Weisz recently signed on to play a similarly gritty role in The Whistleblower, the true story of post-war Bosnian peacekeeper who exposes a United Nations cover-up of a sex-trafficking scandal. We look forward to seeing the passion she brings to that project as well.

MM Is Ready to Make an Exchange

Matthew McConaughey was joined by Camila, Levi, and his dog BJ as he rode his skateboard through the streets of LA yesterday. He spent the weekend making an appearance at the TV Land Awards and promoting Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, but MM always has time for family and outdoor exercise. While he may not be ready to walk down the aisle with Camila just yet, Matthew does have a new project on his hands - his production company is working on a new comedy called The Exchange Student.

The Elle Style Awards

It really is award season when among the music and movie awards we can find time to recognize the fashionable ones as well. Last night in London, the Elle Style Awards took place and gave Madonna the top honor, the Style Icon Award (however she seems to be MIA from the event which is weird since it was co-hosted by her friends, H&M, hmmm). Pretty Penelope was also on hand to pick up the award for Best Film, Volver. Kate Moss was busy so Naomi Campbell scored the award for Best Model. She even had some thoughts to share on all the hype surrounding super skinny models. Here's more:

"You can't blame the industry for a psychological disease.
"It is a disease, like alcohol or drugs... and the industry is not to blame."

Naomi gave props to her modelling agency, IMG, for issuing guidelines to make sure models were well fed at the shows... She also praised the ban of girls under 16 from the catwalks in Milan.

When asked to name her own style icon, she chose her best friend and fellow model Kate Moss. "It's always Kate. I love my Kate," gushed Naomi.

Love that Naomi gave props to her friend Kate. I can also understand why she wants those under 16 to stay home. They are her competition after all - not that she can't land a job. While she was planning, I indulged in salty things like homemade goldfish crackers and saltines with ice cream.
Meanwhile, in reality tv land, Jag proved to be an untrustworthy guy, Julia performs well on Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef surprises me with their elimination, and Iron Chef is looking for a new Iron Chef.

Japan gets all the great food. This time my mind was blown by Pizza Hut's "Double Roll". Yes, that is a maple leaf on that ad...
Do you drink "Two Buck Chuck"? If so, did you know it just won a big award?
Absolut has announced a new line of limited edition city-inspired blends. First up is New Orleans.
Has food ever looked so wonderfully fashionable?
