Celebrity Chef Art Smith Scores New TLC Show

NBC and Fox aren't the only channels trying to nab a piece of the cooking show pie. So is cable channel TLC. Not only does the lifestyle network boast new programming like Cake Boss and the soon-to-air BBQ Pitmasters, but the channel has just ordered eight episodes of a new 30-minute series, Craving Comfort, starring celebrity chef Art Smith.

Rather than demoing dishes in the traditional cooking show sense, Smith will travel the country in search of America's most satisfying eats. Each show will focus on one particular comfort food, such as fried chicken or apple pie. Craving Comfort will debut in late 2010.

Smith, who owns Table Fifty-Two and was Oprah Winfrey's personal chef for a decade, recently starred in the Bravo series Top Chef Masters. I think David Chang is right in saying that comfort foods will be big in 2010, and that this show will take off. Are you a big enough fan of Art Smith to tune in?

Food Network Crowns a New Iron Chef

If you've been watching season two of The Next Iron Chef, then you already know that last night, a new Iron Chef was crowned. The two finalists - New York's Jehangir Mehta and Philadelphia's Jose Garces - flew back to Manhattan after a whirlwind trip in Tokyo to compete in Kitchen Stadium for the final showdown. Which Was Your Fave John & Edward X Factor Performance?

So, you finally voted John & Edward out of The X Factor, but - good or bad - one thing I don't think you can deny is that they were incredibly entertaining over the final live shows. Out of all of the acts they certainly had the most choreography and biggest stage shows, possibly to make up for their less than perfect pitch, but the boys worked hard. Katie Price Quits I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

Katie Price has followed in Camilla Dallerup's footsteps and quit the jungle on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! We saw her refusal to take part in the next challenge live on last night's show, and overnight she left the camp.

On Sunday the News of the World reported that Alex Reid is heading into the jungle to propose to Katie, possibly on television, so rumours were circulating that he would do it on the show. Obviously this won't happen now, as Katie has quit the series after she was picked to do her seventh bushtucker trial in a row.

John & Edward are the Seventh Act to Leave The X Factor!

It was George Michael week on The X Factor, with the finalists singing a mix of his solo material and songs from his Wham! days. Susan Boyle and Mariah Carey performed on tonight's show, where we also found out that the finalists' charity single for Great Ormond Street Hospital - "We Are not Alone" - is number one in the charts! On Sunday night's show Olly Murs and John & Edward were given the news that they were in the bottom two of the public vote this week.

Simon, Cheryl and Dannii voted for John and Edward to go, while only Louis voted for Olly to leave. This leaves Louis with no acts left in the competition. What do you think - did they deserve to leave the competition?
