i loved every moment of it especially the lines..ugly betty got its mojo back,hope it continues this way

i really liked it as well! i've always been an ugly betty fan, even when others jumped ship! i too hope this time slot and lack of promotion are not the death of the show. i liked the work dynamic, between betty and her office mate (meeeeegan), matt, mark, amanda, daniel, the story line with justin. the only story i didn't love was wili's daughter---but i guess they needed drama somewhere. and i was happy when betty chose to stay with daniel! im also glad they are easing into the makeover...and kristen johnston was hilarious.

What happened to Kristen Johnston? She seriously looked sickly, she was so thin.

Yeah, luved it too! Kept my attention for 2 hours! So that's a bonus, I remembered bored to death in the last few episodes of Betty season 3.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Matt's new haircut! Makes him look evil, but also very cute and adorable (especially with his business suit).

I also loved that Betty is going to fight her battles from now on (hopefully!) and I love her new look, still Betty, but also changing. Cross my fingers, hope the show stays like that for the entire season

I am totally indifferent to this premiere and there is nothing to watch!

I thought it was great, it's getting me hooked on it again. It's too bad it's been moved to Fridays! I loved Matt's haircut, it made him look really cute, even though he was a complete jerk in the episode-though I guess it's understandable, to an extent. I was so nervous they'd start off with a big change in the first episode. I, too, want her change to be gradual. Though, was I the only one who didn't really love her outfit at the end? The concept was cute, but I didn't really like the hair...

I thought it was really good and I'm glad that Betty is still getting somewhat of a make-over. Matt's snide remarks throughout the episode were really funny: "you were expecting something longterm and got something shortterm instead."

And I like that they are exploring the changing dynamic of Betty/Daniel, but I really hope they don't go to the romantic angle. That just doesn't flow from their previous relationship.

I'm loving Betty, I hope it continuous this way. Its good to see Betty grow. High hopes for this season.

So happy when Daniel punched out Matt! Best part of the episode. If I were Betty I wouldn't worry about people thinking I only got the job because of Daniel. Daniel only got his job because of his dad and Matt only got his job because of his dad... everybody knows somebody. At least Daniel helped her because she had his respect, not because she was a relative.

I loved it, and oddly, for the first time, I felt there was some romantic chemistry between Betty and Daniel. Matt does look so much cuter with his short hair and Betty looked so pretty, but I didn't like her look at the end too much. The jacket made her look kind of frumpy.

Am I the ONLY ONE who wants to see Betty with Daniel? I forgot it was on (I guess because of the switch to Friday) so I missed it until I channel-surfed & caught the last 2 minutes!

@avocado_seed, i think in the telenovela daniel & betty end up getting married. not sure if that's 100% true, but i read something somewhere along those lines. maybe foreshadowing?

what's funny was i was excited about the premiere, but when they had the "last season on ugly betty" recap, i didn't know what was going on because my dvr failed to record the last 2 ep's of season 3! but luckily i caught up and thought the premiere was great. i, too, did not like the wili/niko storyline.

marc & amanda were fab as usual... matt's lines were hilarious, and that chick meeegan, lol.

I hadn't realized it was two hours. I watch it on Hulu. Just saw the second hour and it sat with me much better than the first hour. I just get tired of betty being the but and never really succeeding, so I hope this is really a new leaf. And seriously, although matt looks super hot (thank goodness for good hair cuts) he needs to keep the personal life out of their work, but duh, I know that was the point...
