Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were among the first couples to hit the red carpet at tonight's American Music Awards in LA. The two stayed close together as they posed with Nicole's super-straight hair blowing in the wind. They're regulars at the country music award show scene and they're certainly pros at looking great together. Stars Sparkle, Burn and Sing at the American Music Awards

The stars of last night's American Music Awards hit the red carpet before heading inside LA's Nokia Theatre for the main event. Janet Jackson kicked things off with an energetic eight minute performance, and the evening's first award then went to the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas went on to take the stage to do "Boom Boom Pow" with a special Nirvana twist. The show went on with performances from Carrie Underwood and Shakira, as well as from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys with "Empire State of Mind." Unfortunately not everyone stayed on their feet - both Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert took tumbles while singing.

There were other memorable performances, from Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and not to mention Whitney Houston's return to the stage before she received the International Award of Excellence. Jennifer Lopez had a beaming Marc Anthony in the crowd as she debuted her new single and showed off those customized Louboutins. Michael Jackson won multiple awards, and his brother Jermaine took the stage to accept the award on behalf of their family. Taylor Swift took home the most statues, though she wasn't there and the upset of the night might have to go to Gloriana who won breakthrough artist - make sure to check out the full list of winners. Kate Hudson joined her Nine costars Fergie and Nicole Kidman, though Kate did have a chance to share a special moment with Alex Rodriguez. We're always talking about the ladies, but what about the men? At the 2009 American Music Awards, five stylin' males stood out on the red carpet. Joe Perry played it rock 'n roll cool, Adam Lambert worked his slim suit, Ne-Yo looked spiffy in a two-tone blazer and fedora, Pete Wentz did his military thing, and Keith Urban opted for all black. No doubt, they all dressed to impress, but which stylin' male is most Fab?

Country Shines Bright and Taylor Cleans Up at the CMAs!

Last night we gave you a taste of the CMA Awards, and now here's the whole set! For the younger women, it was all about the shine on the red carpet from Taylor Swift's typical beautiful sparkly gown to Carrie Underwood's mirrored number. Carrie was one of the hosts of the night along with Brad Paisley, so once she stepped inside it was all about the costume changes for her. Nicole Kidman had nothing but love for her husband Keith Urban, who was a nominee. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw always look classic together and this was no exception.

Taylor kicked off the show with a wild performance of "Forever and Always" where she threw around her long blond hair as she sang. There were no semi-subtle kisses for Taylor Lautner this time, but the two have a lot to celebrate next time they see each other - she won the biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year! She also won for female vocalist of the year, album of the year and music video of the year for "Love Story." Carrie Underwood walked away empty handed, but she and Brad Paisley did a great job hosting the show which included a few jokes at the expense of Kanye West. Kid Rock and Dave Matthews Band were also among the performers at the fun country-filled award show.

Taylor Joins Nicole and Keith For a Night Celebrating Country

Some of country music's biggest stars turned out in Nashville last night for the BMI Awards, which honor the year's best in songwriting. Taylor Swift was fresh off her SNL appearance to take a turn down the red carpet in white before she went onstage to accept an award for "Love Story." Nicole Kidman was there to keep her husband Keith Urban company as they laughed their way through the evening. The BMIs are a precursor to tonight's big CMA Awards, where tons of country singers will come out to celebrate the genre. Both Keith and Taylor are in the running for Entertainer of the Year, so we can expect to see the duo back out again this evening.

Taylor and Faith Give Their All For the Hall

Taylor Swift was in Nashville last night to perform at the "We're All For The Hall" concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame. She was joined by other luminaries from the country world for the event, which is held regularly to raise funds for the establishment's endowment. Faith Hill posed for photos with Taylor behind the scenes, before both ladies stepped onstage with Keith Urban and many others. Taylor looked like her usual happy self, but we can't help wondering which contributed more to her big smile - all those AMA nominations or her weekend in Chicago with Taylor Lautner.

Nicole and Keith Kick Their Weekend Off With Sunday

Their family is back together at home in Tennessee during a break from Keith's Monkeyville tour and after Nicole finished work on The Rabbit Hole. It's been a few months since we got a peek at baby Sunday, and it looks like she's already starting to grow her curly hair just like mom.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban happily took turns playing with baby Sunday this week. On Tuesday, Keith looked like a natural with her diaper bag slung over his arm. Yesterday, Sunday had some mother-daughter time as she and Nicole played at a Gymboree. Tonight Keith kicks off his Summer tour in Connecticut, and though he'll be traveling for the next few months, he'll get a break after Saturday's show - just in time for Sunday to spend her first Mother's Day with mom and dad.

Keith has been busy touring around the country to support his latest album, but he pops back to Tennessee during breaks. Nicole's also home enjoying some downtime after wrapping Rabbit Hole, the indie film she recently opened up about starring in and producing. Keith, Nicole, and baby Sunday were reunited for a fun day out two weeks ago, though Nicole and Keith seemed equally happy just picking up the paper together.

Nicole and Keith Bring Sunday Home For the Weekend
