American Melanie Oudin has been christened with the nickname "Little Miss Upset" and this is not because of whiny antics on the court.
The nickname is inspired by Oudin's unexpected wins. The unseeded 17-year-old beat champion Maria Sharapova earlier last week as well as many seeded players, most recently Nadia Petrova in three sets.

It's official — all that promotion paid off! Summit Entertainment just released the news that New Moon had the biggest midnight opening of all time, raking in an estimated $26.27 million last night! It beat out Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as The Dark Knight.

Robert Pattinson showed us lots of his many facial expressions during his visit to the NBC Studios in New York City yesterday for his appearance on The Today Show. He chatted about his teeth, Edward's love story, and joked that every rumour about him is true: check out a video of his interview after the jump, as well as his appearance on Regis and Kelly. Robert and his New Moon costars have been taking over the TV schedules in the US this week in the lead up to the film's release today, with their visit to Jimmy Kimmel showing tonight, but now the movie's finally out there the stars will get to enjoy a well-deserved rest.

The Oprah Winfrey Show is to end in 2011, with the final programme airing in the US on September 9.
A spokesperson for Oprah's production company, Harpo, wouldn't comment further on the news, but said she would talk about it on today's show. However, it is expected that she'll concentrate on the launch of her own television channel.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have been posing for photo ops all over town — check out Pop's favorite promo tour moments — and it wouldn't be complete without an interview with Entertainment Weekly. In the cute interview, the costars quip about everything from Rob's attachment to his signature hair to Kristen's confession that she'd like to quit smoking to Taylor's obsession with hitting the gym for New Moon. No matter how much the Corn Refiners Association tries to convince us that high-fructose corn syrup is healthy, I'm not buying it. Now I have another reason to avoid it: new findings have linked high-fructose corn syrup to high blood pressure, aka hypertension.
In the past 20 years alone, Americans have increased fructose intake by 30 percent, and that increase tracks closely to the rise in obesity.

I unfortunately have to break some very sad news to you as one of London's best loved fashion labels, Luella, is no more. The announcement came today as WWD revealed that the long term investor Club 21 have walked away from the design house.
According to a statement, VSQ Limited who operated the Luella business have reluctantly “taken the decision not to invest further in its relationship with Luella Bartley Limited.” Bartley commented, "This is a very disappointing situation for everyone involved with the brand…I very much appreciate the support that VSQ has given me, but it is upsetting not to be able to protect jobs in this difficult economic climate.
