One of my favorite things about being a mother is seeing the world through my children's eyes as they grow, begin to speak, and question the things everyone over the age of 10 takes for granted. The "But whys?" "What's that?" "Who's dat?" can wear at a mama when she's just trying to get through the supermarket, but it's an important and oh-so-sweet part of their development. This video of a lil guy seeing a lobster for the first time is sure to pull at your heartstrings. "Can I touch him? Wah! Wow. Wah-o! I don't like to touch him! He's got claws!" Jon Gosselin Goes Back in Time from Jon Gosselin

For better or worse, Jon Gosselin cannot go a day without being mentioned in the headlines. Lately, it's been all bad news for the father of eight - he's being sued, he's suing, he's breaking up, he's spending Christmas with Kate and the kids, etc. While his popularity plummets and his notoriety skyrockets, the reality show star is taking a different approach to garner new fans. In the name of self-deprecation, the good dad gone bad takes steps to turn back time. Love him or hate him, it's a pretty entertaining two-minute spoof on his real life, but I'm not sure it will earn him any brownie points. What's your take on it?

Naptime Foiled, Baby Plays Footsie With Puppy's Face

Patience is surely this pup's virtue - look how unfazed Chi Chi is by baby feet all up in his face. I don't think the pooch is really being "abused," but I'm stunned by his sloppy-kiss response to the toesies on his head. If nothing else, here's another example of why parents shouldn't let babies and puppies play unsupervised, since many dogs would not be so . . . receptive to this interference. Do you find the video simply silly or so shocking?

It's pretty impressive to see two year olds reading off note cards, but this comical toddler has taken it to another level with his presidential impersonations. Every president is known for a line or two and this kid's got 'em down pat. From "No new taxes!" to "Four score and seven years ago," Jace could give Will Ferrell a run or his money. I can't choose a favorite between George W. Bush, Nixon, and Clinton. Watch the clip, and tell me which one is your favorite.

Triumph Hurls Humorous Insults All Over D Pet Hotels

Admittedly, I often check my pampered pup into a pooch hotel (when he can't come along) though not quite as fancy as the deluxe room at D Pet Hotels - it has a bigger bed and flat screen than my actual apartment. Nevertheless, when I get my bill, I still wonder how many features lil North truly appreciates (play group, most definitely; blueberry facial, probably not). So I can't help cracking up at Triumph's behind-the-scenes doggie take at this Hollywood resort - Be warned, there is cursing . . . but there's also a whole lot of funny.

Whoa, Nelly. There's a two-month waiting list to get these freaky cool "digilegs." I am trying to imagine how they would come in handy. In horse races when you're one horse short? Medieval centaur role-playing at the local RenFaire? Perhaps to drive away friends, family, and prospective dates with your weirdness? It's anyone's guess.

They say there is a bit of truth behind every joke. Case in point? This video treasure condemning (and somehow, celebrating) the self-contentedness of expectant women from comedian duo Garfunkel and Oates. Having carried two babies - and another on the way! - I can recognize and admit the sense of accomplishment that comes along with pregnancy. It's hard to express to nonmothers, but heck, I'm making a baby over here. Of course, that's a sentiment that can rub single women or those actively trying to get pregnant the wrong way. I'll let the funny girls say it for me:

Pregnant women are smug. Everyone knows it, but nobody says it cause they're pregnant. . . "So is it a boy or a girl?" "Oh, we know, but we're not telling." "What are you gonna name it? "Oh, we know, but we're not telling."

Beatrice Arthur (1922-2009)

I remember being on the subway one day eavesdropping on a conversation. A man in his early 20s was telling a woman he was with that when he was younger, no show could annoy his father more than the pioneering '70s show Maude, starring Bea Arthur, who passed away April 25 at the age of 87.

Bea Arthur's character, Maude, was the polar opposite of her television cousin, subservient Edith Bunker of All in the Family. No wonder your average man would feel threatened by Maude - she identified as a feminist (a first for television?), she had a commanding, sarcastic manner, and she didn't suffer fools gladly. Maude, the show, tackled issues like abortion, the Vietnam War, and divorce.

Arthur went on to reprise her popularity as an icon (this time, as a hip older woman) in the more lighthearted (but no less feminist) series The Golden Girls, beloved by women and gay men alike. In the following video, she shows she continued to be a badass by starring in a geriatric version of Sex and the City, which, if you think of it, was simply the younger-woman version of The Golden Girls! Talented, tough, funny - and not above making fun of herself. You will be missed, Bea!

Flashback: The First Episode of Charlie's Angels

There's a lot of awesomely weird stuff going on in the opening bit for the first episode of Charlie's Angels. First off, the disembodied voice of patriarchy, aka Charlie, calls his on-call private investigators "three little girls." (Oh, yeah, he also calls them all his "angels.")

My favorite part of this '70s fantasy, though, is that before Charlie phones Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly to tell them to report to their PI jobs, they're playing tennis, horseback riding, and lounging by the pool. Where can I sign up for some freelance angel work? This job sounds amazing.
