A music video Heath Ledger directed shorty before his death has been released. Heath shot the video for "Cause An Effect" on a single camera in his garage in Sydney for childhood friend, Australian rapper N'Fa, also known as No Fixed Abode. A video of N'Fa discussing the video and Heath's creative vision has also been released — check it out after the jump.

Adam Lambert's new song "Time For Miracles" leaked online a few days ago, and I was admittedly mixed about it. Now, the music video for the song is making the rounds on the blogosphere, and I'm actually digging it more than I thought I would!
It's from the upcoming film 2012, so it has the obligatory movie scenes, but dare I say, Lambert's pretty darn sexy in it.

It's Halloween on Saturday and I've been thinking about my favourite spookily themed music videos! Michael Jackson's "Thriller" will always be a classic, but there's been some other fun ones like Backstreet Boys "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)", Rihanna's "Disturbia" and perhaps the lesser known Metric's "Monster Hospital". Meat Loaf, Ryan Gosling's band Dead Man's Bones and a couple of songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show just missed my list, but I'd love to know which of these is your favourite — so let me know!

Russell Brand and Katy Perry spent their day out in LA together yesterday, stopping on their drive to pick up drinks and filling up their car with petrol. After Katy's messy 25th birthday party at the weekend the two looked like they were enjoying some mellow time out in the sunshine, wearing shades and walking with their arms around each other. They look great together, don't they?

It's being reported that MTV will announce that Russell Brand will host the MTV Video Music Awards 2009, despite the controversy he caused last year when he took the hosting gig. He will be the first host to take the reins of the show for two years in a row! The awards are due to take place at Madison Square Gardens in September, apparently with a West Side Story theme, but do you want to see Russell host the show again?

I questioned the substance of Weezer's single "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" off their upcoming album Raditude when I heard it a couple months ago, but the video is the kind that actually makes me like the song more.
I'm crediting the video's director, Marc Webb, who helmed (500) Days of Summer, for the retro-hip look. It's set in a '50s-ish town called "Weezerville" with tons of Americana touches, like a barber shop and plenty of era-appropriate costumes.

When I saw that Nerve.com put together a list of the 50 sexiest music videos of all time, my first thought was: Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" better be on there! Isaak's tribute to steamy beach lovin' indeed made the list, as did many other old standbys, including "Justify My Love" by Madonna and "Cryin'" by Aerosmith.
The list also features other sexy vids I'd totally forgotten about.

I hope you're ready to get your groove on because the next few months are bringing with it the promise of brand spankin' new music-based video games. And there's going to be something for everybody, whether you're into rapping, rocking, or scratching. Everybody who can feel the music, that is.
