Getting the Brush-off

Here's a super cute video from the OnSugar blog Milo Minousky's Munchkinland.

As I mentioned last week, I really hate being brushed. Of course, Brother Minou just looooooves it. He prances in circles when he first sees the Furminator comb and then he says, "It's not a toomuh." At which point I'm like, that's not even the right movie, you nimrod. He doesn't care. His feeble mind is bloated with anticipation for the grooming to come.

I, on the other hand, would rather wear gingham bloomers (something to look into - ed.) than have those evil rakes go through my fur. Personally, I think the whole ritual is barbaric, but Mom seems to think that having cat hair covering every surface is undesirable. (Yeah, I don't get her logic either.) So every now and then, I have to suffer through the humiliation of going to the cat salon. As you will see, I act like it is the biggest imposition in the world.

(PS) Mom thinks I look like Rudolph Valentino at 1:40.
(PPS) Those are mostly meows, not hisses.

The Last Station: See It or Skip It?

The Last Station is a historical drama about Leo Tolstoy with Christopher Plummer cast as the Russian author, and Helen Mirren as his wife. She premiered it at the Rome Film Festival last month. They are joined by Paul Giamatti, Kerry Condon, James McAvoy and his real-life wife Anne-Marie Duff in the beautiful looking film, which explores Tolstoy's attempt to balance his wealth with his desire to life without material objects. It's due out in the UK on 19 Feb. 2010, so check out the trailer and vote to let me know: will you see it or skip it?

The Yellow Handkerchief: See It or Skip It?

The trailer for Kristen Stewart's film The Yellow Handkerchief has been released, along with news the film will be released in the US on 12 Feb. 2010. Kristen plays a troubled teen alongside William Hurt, Mario Bello and Eddie Redmayne in the movie, which follows three strangers on a road trip in post-Hurricane Katrina Louisiana. Producer Arthur Cohn said Kristen was recommended for the part by Jodie Foster, and added: "The part of Kristen in Twilight is completely different from the one she plays in The Yellow Handkerchief, which is particularly interesting for Kristen's fans all over the world." Taylor Swift Gets Wet at Wembley While Lautner Keeps Schtum

Taylor Swift wore a cute layered outfit as she left her London hotel yesterday, and then made several costume changes during her show at Wembley last night, which included smoke effects and rain! She missed out on picking up all her American Music Awards on Sunday because of her commitments in the UK, where she's been appearing on TV shows and meeting her many fans. She even donated £13,000 to Children In Need on Friday, and has also been made into a doll, just like the Twilight characters. Speculation continues about Taylor's relationship with Taylor Lautner, and he was quizzed by Jimmy Kimmel about it, but he kept quiet: check out video of the interview with Taylor, Robert and Kristen after the jump.

One of my favorite things about being a mother is seeing the world through my children's eyes as they grow, begin to speak, and question the things everyone over the age of 10 takes for granted. The "But whys?" "What's that?" "Who's dat?" can wear at a mama when she's just trying to get through the supermarket, but it's an important and oh-so-sweet part of their development. This video of a lil guy seeing a lobster for the first time is sure to pull at your heartstrings. "Can I touch him? Wah! Wow. Wah-o! I don't like to touch him! He's got claws!" Rob Relaxes As Dan Praises and New Moon Breaks Records

Robert Pattinson spent his weekend relaxing in New York after the New Moon screening in the city on Thursday. On Friday night he had dinner at La Esquina, having worn a sexy green jacket earlier in the day for his trip to a guitar shop. Come Saturday Rob was spotted back in his black leather jacket leaving the Bowery Hotel after hanging out with pals, and his old friend Daniel Radcliffe has praised the way his Harry Potter costar has handled all the attention, saying: "He seems to be coping well". While Robert was enjoying some downtime, fans were flocking to cinemas to watch New Moon, and the film has broken records Stateside and here in the UK too. Have you seen the film yet? Following her stay in London this week, Rihanna arrived at LAX Airport yesterday in a cute and comfy outfit. She is the guest editor of MSN's music channel on Monday, and she's spoken with them about her plans for holiday season. When asked what she wants for Christmas, she replied: "some great food and some great sex"!
