I have to admit, I love the Mac vs. PC ads from Apple. Maybe it's my awkward crush on Apple Guy Justin Long, maybe it has something to do with all the funny remakes or maybe it's just clever advertising.

If you haven't upgraded from XP to Vista just yet, this may be the easiest way to beautify your desktop. Check out the Vista Wallpapers at Digital Inspiration. All you have to do is right click on any of the thumbnail images and choose "Save Target As" to save the large size Vista wallpaper image to your hard drive.

Bill Gates has shocked the entire industry by using some unusual vocabulary to describe his excitement for the Microsoft Vista Operating System, which comes out today. "This 'Wow' thing is a great way of describing what we've got here," Microsoft's chairman told The Associated Press on Monday as the software maker began a slate of splashy events in New York. "There are chances for wows all over the product."

Windows' new operating system, Vista, which is the first new operating system from Microsoft Corp. in five years, is being released today and despite controversy over whether or not certain elements of the system were "borrowed" from Mac OSX, there will be plenty of folks upgrading to the new system, which comes with moderate to good reviews. Microsoft boasts that it has managed to tighten security, increase parental controls, make media - from photos to videos to songs to cable television - easier to use and share, and linked everything even more tightly to the Internet, says the SF Chronicle.

Earlier today, at 1 p.m. PST to be exact, history was made at the Buena Vista Cafe in San Francisco. Irish coffee making champion Frank Silletti, in conjecture with the staff of the Buena Vista, made the world's largest Irish coffee.

Today is National Irish Coffee day, and if you've ever visited San Francisco, then you've probably stopped by the infamous Buena Vista - home of America's first Irish Coffee. It all started back in 1952 when then owner Jack Koeppler challenged travel writer Stanton Delaplane to help re-create the highly acclaimed coffee drink from the Shannon Airport in Ireland. After much experimentation and a short jaunt to Ireland, the pair eventually stumbled upon success and American experienced its first Irish Coffee.
