The great Vivienne Westwood showed her Gold Label Spring '09 collection to London's fashion elite last night. Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, and Mick Jagger's daughters watched as the wildly clad models pranced the bright red catwalk. Vivienne is certainly not shy in her designs. Along with signature draped frocks, her latest creations include paint-splattered pieces, patchwork, and a jumble of bright colors. Is Vivienne Westwood's Spring '09 Gold Label collection freaky or fabulous?

Sophie Snuggles Up To Supermodels Eva and Claudia

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who recently announced she's expecting her second child, snuggled up with supermodels Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer at the Chaos Point Gala Dinner in London last night, where Vivienne Westwood presented her Gold Label Collection in aid of the NSPCC. All three stars were on trend in all black, a fashion choice which covered up Sophie's growing baby bump. London Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Vivienne Westwood

It is pleasing to note that Vivienne Westwood's Red Label show now seems to be a permanent fixture of London Fashion Week. After her Berlin clubland-inspired Anglomania collection at Berlin Fashion Week this summer, Westwood's Red Label girl has taken on a more sophisticated approach for Spring/Summer 2009. With a front row that included Kate Moss, Dita von Teese, Daisy Lowe and rather bizarrely, Pamela Anderson, this was one of the most hotly anticipated shows of the week.

Hooded silk jumpsuits and dresses in the palest taupe were given a street-style edge with square sunglasses and punky top knot hair. Westwood's signature tartan got the pared-down treatment with white and blue Prince of Wales check dresses and fitted jackets. A core of tailored separates gave the collection grounding, whilst a combination of masculine severity in the cuts and classic feminine 'frou' shapes looked fresh and modern. Ethnic influences took the Red Label girl to a more exotic place. Cue large, gold tribal earrings and traditional African prints.

There was still that typical Westwood humour of course. A faux-Burberry check visor was paired with a high-waist pencil skirt and 90's hoodies were worn with rolled-up white sweatsuit pants and straightened hair. It is testament to Westwood's talent that these often incongrouous elements sat comfortably together and while the overall look was certainly eclectic it never felt merely random.

The show closed with typical rock and roll aplomb. The late 80's and early 90's club scene was celebrated with molten metallic dresses in shinning steel grey, bronze and bright, yellow gold. An orange-gold sequin dress looked like schmaltzy Christmas wrap, whilst a dark oil-slick dress screamed tough love. Even the more modest muted print dresses got the Amy Winehouse touch with jagged-edge hems and necklines pulled off the shoulder to reveal everyday white bras.

Pamela Anderson for Vivienne Westwood Details Revealed

When Pamela Anderson attended Vivienne Westwood's Spring show in London in September with a mystery man, tongues started wagging. The rumour mill went in to over time before in November Pamela was confirmed as the face of Westwood's Spring campaign.

Today details of the campaign have been revealed. It was shot by Juergen Teller and stars not just Pamela but also Vivienne and her husband Andreas Kronthaler. The setting was Pamela's Malibu trailer and features items from all of Vivienne's clothing lines including Gold, Red, Anglomania and MAN.

The campaign will debut in February 2009 magazines across the world and will also be published as a coffee table book. I can't wait to see the images, what do you think of the collaboration?

Behind the Seams: Fortune Forum Summit

Whilst there was plenty of red carpet glamour recently with The Young Victoria premiere and Charlize Theron dazzling in gold, fashion's finest were gathering at The Dorchester for the Fortune Forum Summit. The event was set up to raise money for worthwhile causes in Africa and was hosted by Carol Vorderman. Vivienne Westwood attended in her own design as did models Lily Cole, Milla Jovovich and Natalia Vodianova who was showing off a new hairdo. The Fortune Forum was founded in 2006 by socialite and former model Renu Mehta, and aims to persuade the G8 governments to use their tax breaks wisely.

2009 Brit Awards: Sarah Harding

Girls Aloud went for similar looks at tonight's Brit Awards all wearing pale coloured gowns. Sarah has on a voluminous Vivienne Westwood number with a very revealing split up the side and gold pointy heels. I like her wavy hair, but I'm unsure about the dress. What do you think?

American Music Awards: Best Dressed

Today's musical bests came out for the American Music Awards, and several of them did so in style. There wasn't a lot of color or drama, but detailing and shimmer made up for it. Taylor Swift looked sweet in a beaded one shouldered dress, while Alicia Keys looked exotic in navy and a bindi. Miley was age appropo and gilded in her black and gold draped dress. Pink went for high drama in an asymmetrical Vivienne Westwood gown, while Sarah Chalke was paired down perfect in a satin Dolce & Gabbana LBD. We have quite a nice range here, but who made you swoon?

Sex and the City Movie World Premiere: Vivienne Westwood

Dame Vivienne Westwood is the unexpected guest du jour at the Sex and the City World premiere in Leicester Square. She attended with her husband Andreas Kronthaler who is pictured here proudly showing off their cinema tickets. Vivienne is wearing a maxi dress with cut out floral detail and accessorising with gold skull jewellery. What do you think considering she is always a bit outrageous?!

On Our Radar: Marc Jacobs for Visionaire

Marc Jacobs fans will for sure be all over his latest project like white on rice. Mister Marc guest-edited the latest edition of Visionaire, the fashion-forward quarterly collector's book that is legendary among insiders.

Together with fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Marc produced a series of portraits of contemporary icons, including Drew Barrymore, Selma Blair, Lil' Kim, Scarlett Johansson, supermodel Stephanie Seymour, Gisele Bundchen, and designers Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney. The pictures are featured in the 192-page 52nd installment, which bows October 1 for $375.

The price may seem steep, but the book comes in a limited-edition Louis Vuitton gold Monogram Miroir case, which sounds pretty rad...
