Skin is in this spring, so before you sport your cute shorts, do a few of these leg toning walking forward lunges.
Here's how to do it:
- Stand upright, feet together, holding two light (5-8 pound) dumbbells at your sides (palms facing in).
- Take a controlled step forward with your left leg.
- Lower hips toward the floor and bend both knees (almost at 90 degree angles). The back knee should come close but never touch the ground.

There is a common misconception among people who run; they often think that their workouts can be limited to running. This is unfortunate since strength training helps to build lean muscle mass, and it can actually help your running. The perfect leg strengthening exercise for running is the walking lunge.

Green exercise is all about working your body without using electricity to get you going. Walking is a cheap and simple way to burn calories and you can do it anywhere, but it can be a little boring. So I add walking lunges to my walks to not only stretch the muscles in my lower body and increase flexibility in my hip flexors, but lunges also strengthen my quads and booty.

Tionne Watkins is better known to most as T-Boz, and a member of the former girl group TLC. Watkins has been extremely open about the fact that she lives with sickle cell anemia, but I was shocked to hear that she secretly battled a deadly brain tumor that led to a risky surgery.
Watkins discovered the grapefruit-size tumor in 2006 and faced the frustrating challenge of trying to find a doctor who would operate on her.

Whatever your opinion of Nadya Suleman's decision to carry eight babies at once, most can agree that her quick slim-down is rather astonishing. When her octuplets were born nine months ago, Nadya weighed 270 pounds. In the latest issue of Us Weekly, she admitted she packed on the pounds by "eating everything in sight."

Nothing turns a walk time from rad to bad quicker than a foul-tempered pooch. I'd hazard a guess that very few, very lucky pet owners have never encountered an aggressive dog while out and about — even an attempted lunge is scary stuff — and what if it continues on way too far? Community member Beaner explains:
We've been going in the woods off-leash ever since we had our dog and, last weekend, the same dog went after him for the third time.

Diagnosis:
Diagnosing pneumonia may be difficult, since lab tests to grow the bacteria from samples can take many days to process, and chest x-rays cannot always distinguish between pneumonia and other conditions. New tests have the potential to make diagnosis easier and quicker. One is a blood test that identifies a marker of severe inflammation in the body.
