John Continues to Share All the Details

John Mayer was proud to show off his colorful tattoo sleeve on the December cover of Details. He's out and about talking about his latest album, Battle Studies, but in typical Mayer fashion John didn't only speak about business. Just like in his recent interview with the New York Times, John quickly got candid about his personal life. Here's more:

On his relationships with Hollywood's leading ladies: "You just never know who’s going to come into your life. To my mind, the only thing sicker than saying, 'Wow, you’re a famous person and it would do a lot for my career to go out with you,' is to say, 'Wow, you’re a famous person and I like you and all, but I can’t do that to my career.' I don’t think either of those is a good option."
On his unexpected collaboration with country star Taylor Swift: "I don’t know if you know, but I’m not exactly Bob Dylan - I’m already a pop musician . . . I want to reach as many people as possible."
His music vs. his celebrity persona: "Sometimes I feel like I do two things for a living. I make records and I talk to people. The record is much, much better than any interview I can give - you’ll walk away from the record liking me a hell of a lot more than you would walking away from an interview."

2009 American Music Awards: Selena Gomez

Adorable Disney-ite Selena Gomez always looks pretty and age-appropriate when she walks the red carpet. Tonight, she went elegant, wearing her curls in this lovely, loose bun and letting tendrils fall free to frame both sides of her face. I love that her eye makeup was extremely simple and that her lip gloss and blush were both almost sheer. I think she struck a good balance of red carpet glam and young-lady makeup, but what's your opinion? Is this just right for a 17-year-old, or is it too much?

2009 American Music Awards: Nicole Kidman

Next we have the always elegant Nicole Kidman. She and hubby Keith Urban walked the red carpet together, Nicole wearing a delicate one-shoulder tiered lace gown by Balenciaga. It's a soft look, finished with large hoop earrings. Do you approve?

A Peek at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

The Victoria's Secret Angels hit the runway in NYC this evening for their annual fashion show! The girls looked amazing as usual in their spectacular lingerie. Even Heidi Klum, who only gave birth six weeks ago and wasn't expected to walk at all, took her hosting duties to the next level and strutted her stuff in one sexy outfit. Miranda Kerr, Marissa Miller and Selita Ebanks were highlights as usual as Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas provided the music. We took a look at the models getting ready.

Russell and Katy Relax in LA After Birthday Bonanza

Russell Brand and Katy Perry spent their day out in LA together yesterday, stopping on their drive to pick up drinks and filling up their car with petrol. After Katy's messy 25th birthday party at the weekend the two looked like they were enjoying some mellow time out in the sunshine, wearing shades and walking with their arms around each other. They look great together, don't they? Meanwhile, Katy's music video with 3OH!3 for their single "Starstrukk" has been released and you can check it out under the jump!

Healthy App: iPractice

I heart my iPhone because there are so many awesome apps to inspire healthy living, from iTreadmill to Slim Down Shopping List. Here's a new app from Yoga Journal called iPractice. It contains 15 yoga sequences all in the palm of your hand. The mini-classes are designed for different needs - some uplift your spirit, some calm your mind.

Once you pick the sequence, you can look at each individual pose on its own, or play the sequence in a slideshow format. A nice feature is that you can choose to have audio instruction walk you through the sequence, so you feel like you're in a class. There's also music to go along with the sequence, but I thought the dreamy tunes made it hard to hear the person talking. If you just want to hear the relaxing melodies, you can also turn the audio instruction off, and since there's text underneath each pose, you can follow along on your own. The photos of the poses were clear and colorful, and the sequences included a mix of both simple and challenging poses.

Country Shines Bright and Taylor Cleans Up at the CMAs!

Last night we gave you a taste of the CMA Awards, and now here's the whole set! For the younger women, it was all about the shine on the red carpet from Taylor Swift's typical beautiful sparkly gown to Carrie Underwood's mirrored number. Carrie was one of the hosts of the night along with Brad Paisley, so once she stepped inside it was all about the costume changes for her. Nicole Kidman had nothing but love for her husband Keith Urban, who was a nominee. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw always look classic together and this was no exception.

Taylor kicked off the show with a wild performance of "Forever and Always" where she threw around her long blond hair as she sang. There were no semi-subtle kisses for Taylor Lautner this time, but the two have a lot to celebrate next time they see each other - she won the biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year! She also won for female vocalist of the year, album of the year and music video of the year for "Love Story." Carrie Underwood walked away empty handed, but she and Brad Paisley did a great job hosting the show which included a few jokes at the expense of Kanye West. Kid Rock and Dave Matthews Band were also among the performers at the fun country-filled award show.

Get on the Ball: Circling Plank

Plus there are so many challenging variations such as plank jumping jacks and walking elbow plank, so you mix up your routine and never get bored. Here's another variation that will really work your lower abs, so grab an exercise ball and give it a try.

Three's a Controversial Crowd on Gossip Girl!

Here's some Friday manjoyment for you - those Gossip Girl guys were spotted filming alongside their musically talented costar Leighton Meester this week. Ed Westwick looked rather handsome in his brown leather jacket as he picked up something to eat, while in a different part of New York Chace Crawford was happy to have a couple of photos taken as he walked down the street. The show is currently causing some controversy due to an upcoming threesome storyline which the Parents' Television Council has said is not appropriate for the teenage audience - most fans are just wondering who's going to be involved in the plot! Who do you think is going to get involved?

John Mayer Lives It Up Down Under

John Mayer went out for a walk in Sydney yesterday before taking the stage later at the city's Paddington Chapel. He's showcasing his new music from Battle Studies, and it seems like John better get used to life on the road as he just announced a new tour - check out the dates. Being in Australia hasn't slowed down John's love of Twitter since he went online to talk about his love for sweats as well as his happiness to be back in front of a crowd.
