Welcome to part four of my series on wedding makeup. So far we've talked about the type of products to use if you're planning a beach wedding, an eco wedding or a royal wedding. However, the edgy bride has a style that's all her own.

Since I'm so traditional, you probably won't be surprised to hear that I consider it bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding ceremony. Of course some couples don't believe in that old-wives tale, and I'm sure those that do get a peek or even share a moment together before their walk down the aisle still live happily ever after. I'm just too superstitious to chance it.

Last week, I put together a tutorial for all of the brides out there who were looking to re-create the formal, regal look of a princess at home. However, this week, I've chosen some waterproof makeup products for those of you laid-back brides who are getting ready to tie the knot on a beach.
I know that most beach brides don't even want to entertain wearing makeup at all whilst walking along a sandy shore in a tropical paradise, but take it from me, even a tiny bit of mascara and gloss will go a long way in photos.

The daring bride has no intentions of having a conventional wedding. She's a modern day woman who thinks outside the box and marches to her own tune. Think Sarah Jessica Parker (she wore black), Dita Von Teese or Alabama from True Romance!

On-trend brides like Fergie and Heidi Pratt want to reach their beauty potential on their big day. Their goal is to look current with a formula including one part sexy, one part innocent and two parts glamorous. Hair will likely be tied up in an effortless looking side bun or carefully crafted chignon or worn long, extended and loosely curled.

I love seeing celebrity brides, but now it's your turn to be a star on Fab. With wedding season in the air, I would like to spotlight your big day. But save the floral arrangements for PartySugar; I'm looking for awesome pics of your gorgeous gown, bridesmaid dresses, and accessories.

For all you bride-to be's out there, I just came upon this great website called Yoga For Weddings. Basically, it's a service that offers private yoga classes for brides, grooms, and their families, focusing on de-stressing and making strong connections.
Real teachers will come to you, and give classes for the months leading up to your wedding, such as a Bride Class, Groom Class, Bride & Groom Class, Parent Class, In-Law Class, Bachelorette/Bachelor Party Class (definitely not your traditional party), Bridal Party Class, Sibling Class, Groom & Dad Class, Bride & Mom Class, Bride & Sibling Class, Groom & Mom Class, or Family Combo Class.

If you thought a sale at H&M could provoke a near riot, imagine that times 100, and you'll get Filene's biannual "running of the brides" bridal gown sale in Boston. The strategy appears to be the same, though. When the doors open, knock people out of the way.

Wedding gowns were traditionally white to represent the bride's innocence and purity.
Not so much anymore.
Thanks, College Humor!
