Michelle Obama is such an icon, there's a second book dedicated to her first-class style. Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy ($18) follows the first lady's wardrobe choices, from her wedding dress to her White House getups. You'll also find interviews with designers like Maria Pinto, Isabel Toledo, and Jason Wu, who have all dressed Michelle.

In honor of wedding season here at Sugar, I thought I'd take a look at some marriages that have made major contributions to the world of design. You've heard of "designer babies," but I'm talking about designer couples — be it architects, interior designers, or product designers, there are plenty of wedded duos who prove that "the couple that designs together, stays together." It's only natural to start with Charles and Ray Eames, arguably some of the most influential designers, who made their mark in the fields of industrial design, furniture design, art, graphic design, film, and architecture.

Today, I'm continuing wedding season with another designer couple, Robin and Lucienne Day. You might say the pair are the Eameses of the UK. Like the Eameses, they're most celebrated designer couple of the post-war era, although the Days designed in different fields.

Some girls never let go of their wish to be princesses, and thanks to designer Kristie Kelly, they don't have to. The Kirstie Kelly for Disney by Mouwad collection, shown at Bridal Week in New York, features six engagement rings and wedding bands that pay homage to Disney's leading princesses.
The engagement rings, named after Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, and Belle are supposed to be "subtle references to the personalities of each princess."

Secrets came to the surface on this week's Desperate Housewives, like Katherine's obsession with sneaking into Mike and Susan's house (cuckoo!), Julie's scandalous affair — and best of all, we learn more about the mysterious Bolen family, which has me totally intrigued.

In last night's episode of Gossip Girl, beautiful bamboo folding chairs were used for seating guests at Lily and Rufus's wedding. When it comes to folding chairs, this is probably the most chic design you'll come across. But they're also good-looking enough to use in your home, not just for when you're having a party or extra guests.
