Ten Hot Spring 2010 Shoes
Although we're only just getting used to the colder months, I have been looking forward to Spring 2010. The fashion weeks in September provided an insight in to what we'd be wearing next year and there is some great footwear. Although there are still plenty of sky high heels, there are also some lower styles coming back.
A Rustic Wedding on the Russian River
After helping my friend create 60 pom-poms, I was delighted to see the napkin rings make their debut on her big day. The unique wedding was held at Patianna Organic Vineyard with the highlight being a fabulous picnic reception down by the river. The groom's brother, chef Taylor Quimby, orchestrated the entire menu including a variety of appetizers, a family-style dinner, and an extensive dessert bar.

Since we're in high wedding mode here at the Sugar Network, it would be a shame if I didn't point out the fact that celebrity chef Tyler Florence's wedding was highlighted in the latest InStyle Wedding Magazine. Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy ($18) follows the first lady's wardrobe choices, from her wedding dress to her White House getups. You'll also find interviews with designers like Maria Pinto, Isabel Toledo, and Jason Wu, who have all dressed Michelle.
Love It or Leave It? Disney-Inspired Engagement Rings
Some girls never let go of their wish to be princesses, and thanks to designer Kristie Kelly, they don't have to. The Kirstie Kelly for Disney by Mouwad collection, shown at Bridal Week in New York, features six engagement rings and wedding bands that pay homage to Disney's leading princesses.
The engagement rings, named after Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, and Belle are supposed to be "subtle references to the personalities of each princess."

Amelia: Never Really Takes Flight
I love the way a biopic makes me feel — like I'm treated to a back-in-time look at an amazing life. They're epic, and that's why I'm willing to sit through the slow moments (and often for more than two hours) for the payoff. This is the experience I hoped for from Amelia, directed by Mira Nair and starring Hilary Swank as the pioneering aviator who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
Katie and Her Cross-Dressing Boys Dress Up Jordan Style!
Wow! Katie Price must be a master of persuasion, as she got four of her closest men to dress up in various trademark Jordan outfits for the launch of her latest book Standing Out: My Look, My Style, My Life at Selfridges in London this afternoon. Kate's boyfriend Alex Reid swapped his usual Roxanne persona to copy Kate's gold outfit from Ibiza, and Kate's riding instructor Andrew Gould fittingly dressed up in her KP Equestrian launch outfit.
Jamie's Antique-Boho Wedding
Textile artist and Wisconsin girl Jamie recently tied the knot with her long-time sweetheart and fellow artist, Joe. Jamie imbued the backyard wedding with great vintage touches and lots of beautiful ideas, noting that, "Our entire day was an epic collaboration of friends, family, grandmas and grandpas,neighbors, and friends of friends who were all so generous in offering helping hands."
