Dear Poll: Would You Write Your Own Vows?

It’s getting more and more commonplace for people to opt out of the traditional wedding and come up with something completely their own. Some of the more obvious changes are location, colors, and the use of themes but there are also subtle differences that can make a wedding seem more special, such as writing your own vows. I'm more traditional, but I think the idea of writing your own vows is a really nice way to share your love for one another and make your wedding day unique. So ladies, would you consider writing your own vows?

My husband is taking me on a cruise in January and we are planning on renewing our vows on ship. We had a very small wedding 32 years ago and I didn't get to wear a wedding gown. I have always dreamed of wearing a glitzy dress but would it be inappropriate for me to do so while we renew our vows? - Over the Top Tammie

First of all, congratulations on 32 years of marriage. You have a reason to celebrate if I've ever heard of one! Since you never got to fulfill your dream of a glamorous wedding dress the first time around, by all means, go for it this time, Tammie!

Renewing your vows is a celebration between you and your husband so you guys get to make up the rules. It is absolutely not inappropriate to wear an elaborate dress even if it's not your first time saying I do, so go make your wedding dress dreams come true and enjoy being a princess for the day. It seems that the family that tapes together, stays together. Our favorite tensome, the Gosselins, were spotted in Maui filming another episode of their TLC show, Jon and Kate Plus 8. While on the island, Jon and Kate renewed their wedding vows outfitted in white and wearing leis.

Though the couple probably never imagined how their life would turn out at their first nuptials, the eight attendants - Cara, Madelyn, Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, Collin and Joel - put traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen to shame this time around. When you think about the love that leads to marriage, you can only imagine the commitment that comes with making it down the aisle again.

The bride wore Vera Wang and they said their vows in front of family and friends, including her sisters Kim and Kourtney as well as Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne, Joe Francis, and Kobe Bryant. Jade Goody Vows to Walk Down the Aisle in Church Wedding

Jade Goody is determined to have the strength to walk down the aisle in a church away from the hospital when she marries Jack Tweed on Sunday. It looked like Jade and Jack would have to marry in the chapel of the Royal Marsden Hospital where she has been treated for cancer, and that she may need a wheelchair, but Jade has said:

"I am going to die in this hospital, so I don’t want to get married here. But wherever we tie the knot, I’m determined to walk down that aisle. I’ve lost my balance and the doctors aren’t sure if it’s a sign that the cancer has spread to the brain or if it’s just weakness. But I’m hoping I will have the strength to walk on my big day. It would be so cruel to be robbed of that one last thing as well."

Jack proposed to Jade at her hospital bedside on Friday, after doctors gave her the heartbreaking news that she only has months to live. Then at the weekend, Jack took Jade out in her wheelchair to a spot beside the Thames so that he could get down on one knee and officially ask her to marry him. The couple exchanged matching rings by the riverside.

Jade pleaded with her doctors about her wedding day, saying: "I will be walking down the aisle on my wedding day. Please help me do that." She added: "I’m so looking forward to being a bride. And I want to walk toward my groom, just like any other young woman would on what is meant to be the best day of their lives."

Mohamed al Fayed has given Jade a £3,500 cream and ivory Uranio wedding dress from Manuel Mota's Pronovias 2009 collection as a gift from Harrods. Jade has asked the Living TV producer who has been involved with filming her illness to be her bridesmaid. She is being so brave, and she deserves a beautiful ceremony on Sunday.

Seal Takes His Turn Doing Pickup Duty

It was Seal's turn to pick up the kids from karate class on Thursday, after Heidi Klum stepped out to get Henry and Leni earlier this week. Their children are falling back into their Fall routine after a fun family Summer that included a getaway to Hawaii and Heidi and Seal's wedding vow renewal, and soon they'll head back to class. Heidi's dressing to accommodate a baby bump this year, but she'll always be one of the chicest moms in the school yard.
