Check Out West Coast Green!
Earlier today, I told you that I'm hanging out at West Coast Green, a green building conference in San Jose, CA, which explores ways to make all structures more sustainable. If you live in the Bay Area you should certainly get your butt over to the San Jose Convention Center and learn all you can about sustainable home construction and design, as the conference ends Saturday. You might not know it from looking at this photo, but the Harbinger display house at this year's West Coast Green is made from shipping containers. What's equally impressive is the beautiful interior design, which was done by Ecofabulous. Take a look at the slideshow for the gorgeous, eco interiors.
Status Update: Justin Is on the Set of The Social Network
Justin Timberlake brought Jessica Biel along for last night's star-studded Jay-Z concert, but today he was up bright and early to report to the LA set of The Social Network. Production on the film was underway last week in Maryland, but shooting has switched over to the West Coast for now. JT's career in film seems to be moving right along, as he also just picked up a role in the upcoming Yogi Bear movie.
Jennifer, Violet and Seraphina Explore Their Swinging Options
Jennifer Garner brought Violet and Seraphina out for a fun morning at a LA park on Saturday. The girls are continuing to enjoy their time on the West Coast, after a few months in Boston with Ben Affleck as he works on The Town. Violet wasn't socializing with her new feathered friends, but she did have little sister Seraphina to keep her company on the swings.
Kirsten Dunst Brings Her Yankees Pride West
Kirsten Dunst arrived at LAX on Friday, but it looks like she left her heart back on the East Coast — she sported a cap honoring the World Series-winning Yankees. She wasn't able to join Kate Hudson and A-Rod to celebrate the victory, but Kirsten seemed happy enough as she went about her travels. Kirsten's in California after spending her Halloween with friends in the Big Apple, though she won't be surrounded by quite as many fellow fans out West.
Fab Exclusive! Rachel Roy on East Coast Versus West Coast
During our interview with Rachel Roy, we talked to the designer about growing up in the Bay Area (Monterey), and the differences between East and West Coast life. Interestingly, Rachel described the East Coast as more segregated compared to the West:
"I grew up in the Bay Area and went to college on the East Coast. Things were quite segregated, and I wasn't into that.
Jennifer and Violet Head Back to School in November
Violet Affleck looked excited to be back at her LA school yesterday as she headed home with mom Jennifer Garner. The girls spent the past few months exploring Boston while Ben filmed The Town, but Jennifer and Violet are back home on the West Coast now. Seraphina sat out this school run, but she's still becoming a regular fixture in her family's frequent excursions.
