The Boys Showcase Signature Styles on the AMA Red Carpet
The guys were left to their own devices on the red carpet at the American Music Awards last night, but there weren't many surprises. Boy bands NKOTB and the Jonas Brothers never miss an opportunity to show off their formal wear, while Nick Lachey got suited up to publicly pose with Vanessa. Chris Brown mixed funky and classy with his leather jacket and bow tie, while Kanye and his tail managed to stand out without getting dressed up.
The AMAs Brought Many a Medley and a Few Trophies, Too
After the ladies and men showed off their red carpet styles, they headed into the Nokia Theater for the American Music Awards last night. The show started off with an exciting medley from Christina followed by a performance from the New Kids on the Block that you guys are split on. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and the Jonas Brothers represented the industry's young blood while Coldplay, Kanye, Mariah and Alicia Keys with Queen Latifah were also crowd pleasers.

Spike Jonze is the man today. After Where the Wild Things Are took the top box office spot over the weekend, the Internet is also buzzing with this new short film he made with Kanye West. I'm on a bit of a Jonze kick myself, so I was excited to check it out — especially since I liked their combined efforts on West's video for "Flashing Lights."
Lily's Live in Milan But Will Take a Break to Start a Label
Lily Allen performed in Milan last night as part of her latest tour, looking comfortable in her kooky style as she padded around the stage with no shoes on. Wearing her familiar tights that looks like stockings, and with a glittery dragonfly on her face, she wore a layered look in contrast to the more dressed up look she wore in Amsterdam. She has tourdates booked up until March 2010, however after those finish she has talked about taking a break and appearing in a West End show as well as setting up a record label.
Lily and Music Legends Honoured at Q Awards
Music stars gathered at London's Grosvenor House this afternoon for the Q Awards. Lily Allen was back in the UK after her Amsterdam gig to pick up Best Track for "The Fear" and she posed with Q Icon Marianne Faithfull. Kasabian picked up Best Album and Sophie Ellis-Bextor joined Holly Johnson to celebrate Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Classic Song win for "Relax".

This is the week for Broadway shows! Not only are the current theater selections raking in more cash than usual despite the economy, it also sounds like we'll soon be seeing two more musicals move to the big screen. I already told you about the plans for a Rock of Ages movie musical, and now comes word that Miss Saigon may be getting the film treatment too, with Lee Daniels in talks to direct.
Mel C, Mel B & Girls Could Spice Up Your TV With Talent Show
Melanie Chisholm showed off her Nora Batty style at a photo call for her West End show Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre, while Melanie Brown wore a bright blue dress as she hit the town with hubby Stephen Belafonte in London last night. Following rumours about a Spice Girls musical, the latest reports today suggest the girls are planning a TV talent show to find versions of themselves for the musical. Their former manager Simon Fuller is said to be helping with the idea, which would see the band sit on the judging panel.
JLS Vow to Keep Their Voices in the UK For Now
JLS attended a preview performance of Little Voice last night, to support their old The X Factor buddy Diana Vickers who’s starring in the play in London’s West End. The gorgeous boys looked smart as they posed for photos outside the theatre, and it looks like we’ve got them all to ourselves in the UK for now as they’ve dismissed rumours that they’re going to America. Oritse had this to say:

Mel C Denies Spice Girls Reunion on GMTV
Melanie Chisholm appeared on GMTV this morning to talk about her upcoming role in Blood Brothers, and she denied the rumours about a Spice Girls reunion. Ever since Geri Halliwell said they were "gathering information and thinking about possibilities" there's been speculation about a reunion, but following Emma's denial about a World Cup gig Mel C has also shot down the rumours. In response to Andrew Castle's question "is there a reunion?"
Christina Picks Pumpkins After Spilling About Sexuality
Christina Aguilera spent the weekend getting ready for Halloween by following other celebrities' lead and picking pumpkins in West Hollywood with hubby Jordan Bratman and their son Max. She's also Cosmopolitan UK's November cover star, and revealed her preference for female bodies in her frank interview with the magazine. Here are the highlights:
