Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend one of my favorite events of the year: the Zinfandel Advocate and Producers (or ZAP) annual festival. On Thursday night I participated in a walk-around food and wine tasting. A bunch of wineries pair up with local restaurants and caterers who create a small dish to pair with the wine.

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member Pretty Little Things from the Su Casa group:
Moving in to my new apartment I realized that I needed a space for my gazillion wine glasses ( I swear when you're in your 20s this must be like the default gift for people!). Well in searching for a solution I came up with this; an old soda crate turned into wine storage, and easily! I just took some vintage soda crates my mom has and bought an under the cabinet wine rack, installed it, and voila.

Typically speaking, Muscats are fortified wines with moderate sweetness and a slight effervescence.

Did you know that Georgia produces sparkling wines? No, not the state Georgia, but the country. I didn't either until recently, when I had the chance to taste it's best-known sparkling wine producer, Bagrationi.

The next time you need a bottle of bubbly to be cold quickly do what I do: add salt and water to the ice bucket. Simply layer ice with a couple tablespoons of salt and pour in water. The wine will chill in about 15 minutes — more rapidly than it would in the freezer.
