Xavier Samuel Is Still Heating Up Vancouver

Even though some of his Eclipse costars like Rob and Kristen have left Canada for California, Xavier Samuel was still up in rainy Vancouver yesterday afternoon. It seemed like he was taking care of some last-minute business, as he ran errands and hit the mailbox. It wasn't all chores, though, as Xavier stopped to chat and pose for a photo with a local Twilight fan. Since Xavier's character is a new addition to the third film in the series, he'll likely be sitting out most of the upcoming New Moon promotion, but we'll have lots to see from his busy costars.

Xavier Joins Taylor in the Sexy Soaked Guy Department

Taylor Lautner isn't the only one who looks hot getting all wet for the cameras: Xavier Samuel got soaked filming scenes for Eclipse in Vancouver late Wednesday night. Xavier is a handsome new vampire on the scene, which earned him a special shoutout in part two of our PopSugar Rush Vampire Special. While Xavier's Riley won't make his debut until Eclipse, there's a whole lot to look forward to before then - like the recently released Death Cab for Cutie video for the opening song from New Moon.

The Eclipse Gang Spreads Out to Tackle the Weekend

The cast of Eclipse was scattered across the continent for a weekend of fun with family and friends. Peter Facinelli was home in LA to watch one of his daughter's soccer games with Jennie Garth, but he made a quick trip to Las Vegas to attend a Twilight fan event. Ashley Greene, meanwhile, showed off her Florida pride with a Gators hat out with a friend on Saturday in LA. Xavier Samuel stayed up in Vancouver, enjoying another solo stroll yesterday while Nikki Reed grabbed Starbucks with her boyfriend Paris Latsis. New addition to the gang Jack Huston showed off his mustache at the city's airport yesterday, but there was no Rob and Kristen this time among all the cast sightings.

Xavier Takes a Break From the Eclipse Set to Walk Vancouver

Xavier Samuel spent his weekend working and playing with his Eclipse costars, but yesterday he stepped out solo in green for a walk in Vancouver. He's a new addition to the cast, but Xavier seems to be fitting in perfectly with original stars of the Twilight series between his bonding time with Ashley Greene and concerts with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Xavier appears to have also grown close with fellow newcomer Bryce Dallas Howard and her husband - so hopefully it wasn't awkward at all when it came to filming their steamy scenes.

Xavier Has a Handle on Things in Vancouver

Xavier Samuel took a solo stroll in Vancouver yesterday afternoon, with a soda in one hand and his cell phone in the other. The actor was enjoying a break from working on Eclipse, as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got down to filming scenes together inside a car. Robert will always hold the title of hottest Twilight guy as far as most of you are concerned, but it's still a nice treat to see cute Xavier doing his thing in Canada on a regular basis.

Claude and Francois-Xavier Lalanne's Sculptures to Graze on Park Avenue

In conjunction with the Paul Kasmin Gallery, the New York City Parks Public Art Program will debut the first ever, large-scale outdoor exhibition in the US of Claude & François-Xavier
Lalanne’s sculptures along Park Avenue from Sept. 13 to Nov. 20.

The exhibit, on multiple sites along Park, will include more than eight monumental works by the influential couple, including François-Xavier’s famed "Moutons," which I've featured on CasaSugar before. The epoxy and bronze woolly animals will be featured in a life-size flock of 12 sheep and lambs.

Some of the exhibit's other best-known works will be featured, including Claude's "Pomme de New York," a large-scale bronze sculpture of an apple, epitomizing the city’s iconic image; François-Xavier’s "Singe Avisé," a pensive, cross-legged monkey; and Claude's "Choupatte," an anthropomorphized cabbage with bird’s feet.

If you happen to be in Manhattan during the exhibition, you simply must stop by. Not only is it the first major outdoor show of the Lalannes’ work, but it's also a very rare treat to see the pieces in person. That is, unless you are Marc Jacobs, who owns his very own Lalanne sheep.

Robert Pattinson and Eclipse Pals Party After Twilight

Once the sun had set on a busy week filming scenes for Eclipse, the Twilight saga actors headed out to party in the restaurants and bars of Vancouver. Robert Pattinson looked a little pale under his hood as he made his way home after a night out on Saturday, while Kellan Lutz, Bryce Dallas Howard and the wolf pack headed to Gothams for dinner together. Come the light of day, Xavier Samuel looked like he was in a great mood as he took another solo stroll around Vancouver. Now a new week has started, hopefully we'll get to see more of the cast on set: I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Robert filming more scenes with Kristen Stewart.
