Music made available on the Internet always seems to draw fire somehow, and unfortunately for the music obsessed across the pond, attempts to renew YouTube's license agreement with the UK's Performing Right Society have come to a fast halt. According to YouTube, the "PRS is now asking us to pay many, many times more for our license than before. The costs are simply prohibitive for us — under PRS's proposed terms we would lose significant amounts of money with every playback," and have since blocked all music videos in the UK until an agreement is reached.

Do you ever stumble across a video on YouTube that you wish you could put on repeat? For me, it's usually when I find a hot new song or I have a favorite new music video that I can't get enough of. So you can imagine how excited I was when I came across a site called TubeReplay that will automatically replay any YouTube video.

I swear I can listen to a song over 100 times and still manage to mess up the words, or make up my own — kinda like the Romy and Michele's High School Reunion scene when they sing Footloose (Footloose manages to turn into cut loose).
Because I regularly watch music videos on YouTube, I've used this Greasemonkey extension to help me with song lyrics, but what about my iTunes library? Thankfully a reader has submitted a neat download to the Download of the Day group to help this geek out.

We haven't really heard from Kid Rock in a while, but now that he's surfaced, he has some strong words for illegal downloaders of music. He gets pretty far in his satirical tirade comparing illegal music downloads to stealing iPods, laptops, and cars, before I say: We Get It Already. Stealing is bad.

As our non-voyage moves across the country, we head on south to the great state of Texas where cowboy hats and boots abound. The destination offers up a number of kid-friendly activities that can be experienced right at home.
- The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center introduces both kids and adults to wildflowers and other native plants. Pack up the kiddos for a lil hike and see just how many different flowers they can find on the trip.
- The Alamo may be one of the main attractions in San Antonio due to its historic place in the Texas Revolution and the role Davey Crockett played in the battle. Help tots re-enact the battle by building a real-life backyard fort. Allow them to eat, sleep and play in the fort for a day and see how creative they can be with their limited space.
- Austin is known for its live music festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest. Check your local calendar to see if there are any live shows planned for your area. If not, start your own! Gather up the neighborhood kids, have them each pick a song they want to "perform" and call all the parents around for an evening of fun and music as your tots take the stage.

One of the commenters on a YouTube upload of this video said it exactly: "Definately one of the best chillin songs ever made." Yes, I'm aware definitely is spelled wrong, that's verbatim folks. Double yes, this song is super chill.

Little Boots aka Victoria Hesketh posed for pictures in London's Shoreditch House as her first official single hits our airwaves. It is released on 25th May and Little Boots herself has added an "acoustic/ piano/ tenorion version" to YouTube, with the "real thing" availble on her MySpace.
Ever since Little Boots came top of the BBC's Sound of 2009 list at the beginning of the year, I've been looking forward to hearing her new material.

Singing and dancing on webcams that they then post on YouTube. Secretly auditioning for a role in the next Broadway musical or MTV video. The child on the left put it best when he captioned one of his many lipsyncing YouTube videos thusly: "The song that is starting my kerir."
