The Oscars are just a few weeks away, but the buzz surrounding the nominees has been building since they were announced last month. While only a few people know who the winners are before they're revealed on the big night, e.Life, a social media monitoring service, says that the Twitter buzz factor in big cities like NYC and LA can help predict who the winners may be.
According to its research, Inception has the biggest chance of taking home the win for best picture, while Black Swan comes in a close second. See who e.Life has pegged for the best actor, best actress, and best director categories after the break.
The Twitter noise surrounding Colin Firth has e.Life predicting he'll win the Oscar, while Natalie Portman takes top honors for best actress. NYC and LA are split on the best director category, though, with NYC buzzing about David Fincher (The Social Network) and LA favoring Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan). I would have thought it would be the other way around!
