i love my original kindle...i thought i would really miss actual books but i don't. i've read about 6 or 7 books since i got it for christmas and i am so attached to my kindle now. its like my buddy, i get to use it every time i read. plus, you can buy the same books at wal-mart that you can at a small bookstore. i will still collect old books, but i find new books (especially mass market paperback size) to be nothing but mass produced and not overly special. plus, the books are cheaper on the kindle AND it doesn't waste space (i'd rather keep a ton of books on my kindle and memory cards than have to purge every few months and only keep a few shelves of books, like i do when i buy concrete books, i live in a small one bedroom) and paper. its not as bad as it seems at first trust me

I love the feel/look of books too! So don't feel bad :D although I would like to save on some shelf space in the future probably.

@ashanti: I can see why you would say that, but as someone who reads several books at a time, as well as the daily paper and crosswords, this is a really great product. I may have to spring for this one.

Sorry to disappoint anyone with my comment but since I have a right to an opinion I will just go ahead and say that I love to read novels the old fashion way...the bigger/thicker the novel the better as I get to compete with myself to see how fast I can finish it. And I so love childrens' books with all the pictures....I think an electronic version just takes away all that fun.
