This is not a joke (even though we wish it were). An app called Spring makes you look taller and thinner by letting you adjust your body proportion. "This app would make your body look sexier!" is the description. "You would look like a model!" "No more high heels!"

Created by the company Sunday Bugs in Japan, it works by letting you mark points on your body to stretch; the background also gets distorted.

Laughable? Offensive? Ridiculous? Disturbing? Yeah, it's all of the above.

A basic, free version of the app is available in the iTunes App Store [1] and the Google Play Store [2]. If you want a high-resolution version without the Spring watermark, you can buy a pro version [3] (on Android only) for $2.
