Every year in June, San Franciscans take to the streets for SF pride , a celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community. This year, Apple joined them. The company released a heartwarming, tearjerking video of their pride march, along with this fun tidbit: "Apple . . . has scored a perfect 100% on HRC's Corporate Equality Index ." CEO Tim Cook has fervently supported gay rights over the years. In this speech , he spoke at length about Apple's commitment to providing LGBTQ couples with benefits, even when the law did not allow it. Many have speculated that the Apple CEO is gay himself, and a CNBC anchor may have accidentally outed him , but Tim hasn't spoken publicly on the matter.
