Apple's Macbook Mini Netbook Photos Are Probably Fake

April Fools' Comes Early: Macbook Mini Photos

As much as I want to believe that this photo of an Apple netbook (appropriately titled Macbook Mini) is real, I'm betting that these are just some seriously Photoshopped images meant to fool us all into jumping on board. April Fools'! Cruel, isn't it?

These photos I caught on 9to5Mac, supposedly from a Russian magazine, show a downward view of a "Macbook Mini" keyboard, with a layout that looks suspiciously similar to the Macbook Air. Although Steve Jobs let us know at an event back in October that Apple has no plans to release a netbook, maybe these shots (and some positive feedback) could change his mind. My fingers are crossed.

I think they just altered the MacBook beauty shot from Apple's site. I'm no PS pro but I'm pretty sure I could do this. Unfortunate though as the 12" powerbook was a very loved machine. People still bring them into our shop willing to do whatever they can to "keep it alive".
