Barnes & Noble Releases iPad App

Barnes & Noble Brings Its Books to the iPad

The heat is on! Not only can you get the Kindle on your Mac, but Barnes & Noble announced their new ereader app for the iPad last night, which brings all the benefits of owning B&N's native Nook ereader to Apple fans who couldn't pass up the chance to read books and browse the Internet on a (nearly) 10-inch tablet. The App lets you choose from Barnes & Noble's free, paid, or sampled books, magazines, and even sharing them between friends with B&N's LendMe technology.

Plus, if you've purchased a book online or through a Nook, you can find it on your iPad app so you don't have to repurchase your favorite titles, and the interface is customizable to make it easier to read — adjust the font, color, and margin sizes, and add notes, highlights, or links to the text. Best part? The app is totally free.
