Last week's episode of Saturday Night Live gives hope that Facebook may be more than just a collection of farms, mafia bosses, and pokes; it did get Betty White a job after all. Back in January, fans of the Golden Girls star started campaigning to get her the hosting gig, and luckily the folks at SNL were listening — Betty's appearance earned the late-night show its highest ratings in 18 months. If you saw the 88-year-old actress on SNL last week then I don't have to tell you she killed it. If you missed it, that's where Hulu comes in.
Now just days after her successful appearance, two new fan campaigns have popped up on Facebook. If all goes accordingly, expect to see Betty hosting next year's Academy Awards and this year's Emmys, which Jimmy Fallon is already set to host in August. No word if Jimmy has decided to throw in the towel just yet . . .
