Prepare your inner product designer. DODOCase unveiled today the Build-a-DODOCase Customizer, an interactive tool to create an iPad 2/3 case that is all you — or, since it's holiday gift-giving season, a case that reflects a special someone. With 31 fabric options including solid colors, patterns, and leathers, along with 15 elastic closures to pick from, this takes personalized tech gear to a new and colorful level.
To begin the design process, choose from a solid case ($80) with one all-over fabric cover or a two tone case ($90), which includes a main fabric with a contrasting spine. Add interior fabric, opt to include a camera hole or not (an additional $5), pick an elastic color, write directions for an optional engraving ($13), and boom, it's time to update your business card to include "accessories creative director."
Indecisive? When faced with what felt like endless custom tech beauty, I was too (check out the GeekSugar-designed case in the gallery!), but the company made a Pinterest board of 35 cases created by design tastemakers for quick inspiration. Read on for a closer look at the new cases and a behind-the-scene Vimeo video on the making of custom DODOCases.
