Do You Use Multiple Browser Tabs?

Do You Leave a Ton of Tabs Open on Your Browser?

There are a few tech-sins I'll cop to: not shutting down my computer as often as I should, yanking the headphones out of my iPhone to stop the music instead of just pushing the stop button, and, of course, leaving a ton of windows open in my browser. I'm not sure what I have against closing the individual windows, but for some reason typing "command + t" is so much easier than clicking on the "x" to close each tab. Any other "lazy" browsers out there? The ironic thing about not closing these windows is that I get cranky when I have to scroll right or left to find a tab I'm looking for. (The photo above is an actual shot from my computer, which currently has 15 open tabs. It's a slow day.)

I use a Firefox add-on called Too Many Tabs. It gives me an extra row for my tabs and that extra top row is really 6 rows, I just can only pick one of those rows to go alongside the original row.

I usually always have a tab open with Twitter, sometimes Facebook, but that's usually all I leave open. I close everything else when I'm done with it. :P

I usually have a couple of tabs going on at once, but once I know I'm done with the site for sure, ctrl + w is my friend! Like sourcherries, I also have a problem with Chrome's tab functions (it doesn't warn you when it closes all tabs how firefox does), but am still trying it out.

Guilty, guilty, guilty! Tried out Chrome and didn't like how it handled tabs, so went back to firefox.

Yep, I do the same thing... use Reader, open up tons of articles and have trouble getting through them. My husband makes fun of me too. :D Haha.

Glad I'm not alone, my son is always giving me crap about leaving so many tabs open when he gets on the PC.

Yay! I'm SO glad to know that I am not alone in this! I open way too many tabs on any given day! :)

I've had 160+ tabs open at one point in time. I have absolutely no clue what they were, as it was a while back, but I miss when my computer could easily handle that.

I use Foxtab (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8879) - it helps during the times when I have more than 10 tabs open and can't find what I'm looking for. :)

Of course, I just opened those links in this article in new tabs!

I also use two Firefox addons that allow me to have some permanent tabs (GNews, Gmail, GReader), and to only see their icons, rather than having them take up a full tab space. That makes it easier for me to find them at a glance.

When I read Google News or go through my GReader, I open things I'm interested in reading in new tabs. That means that I often have TONS of tabs open, but I also close them as soon as I read them . . .
