Does LiveAutographs Really Work?

I've heard about the website LiveAutographs before, but I just assumed it was totally bogus — I mean, come on, would a real celebrity actually sign an autograph for me, on video? Yeah, I didn't think so either. Well it turns out, TechCrunch paid $149 to get an autograph on LiveAutographs from William Shatner. And it actually worked! Yes, there's a real vid with Shatner himself giving a shout-out to TC. It seems somewhat mechanical, but it's totally Shatner signing an autograph, and with that I bite my tongue.
