Fable II Expansion to Knothole Island

New Fable II Goodness in the Form of Knothole Island

Yes I am still pretty obsessed with Fable II, months after it hit the shelves, but it's pretty rare that I find a game I can get this into and keep playing. So hear me out: Lionhead Studios released a downloadable expansion called Knothole Island that lets you explore a new area of the game. It's like it's brand new all over again!

I took a peek around just the other day and found new weapons and potions to use in battles and quests. Plus, there's some amazing weather going on over there. The expansion comes in at $10 bucks, but for the replay value of this game, it's totally worth it. Check out some screenshots below.

I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. After getting the DLC for Fable, I can't dye my character's hair anymore. I can dye everything else, including the wigs, but why not the hair? I couldn't even use the ginger hair dye I got on Knothole Island. Sad face.

I love the skinny potion! It was getting boring just eating celery! lol GTA 4 DLC is coming too, I'm sure not too many women are as into this game as I am but I'm pretty stoked! And The Sims 3 comes in February, with a sweet Create a Sim customization!

OMG the cosmetic potions!!! It's so awesome the details they put in, and the minus purity for using them. I have to say I used the skinny one... A life of tofu and celery undone by one drunken night in Bowerstone.

I think my favorite part is the potions that get rid of scars, because I, uh ... may have been knocked out a few times. :)

I downloaded Knothole the first night too, but haven't had time to play it yet. I'll probably knock it out this weekend. I hope they come up with more DLC.

Loved it! Loved it so much! Beat it that night, and i'm just missing 2 books! Oh, the sunglasses! And the mystery shop! It's so awesome, but that first flit switch puzzle nearly killed me. It took me like 6 tries to finally get it right.

PS: If somebody would like some help with some of the quests/achievements, I'd love to help! My Gamertag on XBL is Kiralee

Just like Geek, I am in love with Fable. Just recently I finished the entire game, got all the achievements *yeah* and patentily waited for the expansion. I downloaded it the night of the day when it came out and played the day after. And also finished it within that day. Unfortunately it's only one quest which is solvable within hours. You'll get three extra achievements (finish the quest, get all 10 hidden books and buy all surprise boxes from the shop [which means you have to find items at stalls throughout Albion in order to exchange them for the surprise boxes which contain great outfits, weapons, etc]). Honestly I was a little disappointed that it was such a short pleasure but that doesn't mean that I didn't like it. But for somebody who already finished the game it's probably not as entertaining as for somebody who did. A little extra, if you lost your dog by the end of the main game, you'll get a change to get him back on Knothole Island! I am glad about the addition to the game because it was fun and hope we'll have many more (for a little less money)

I picked up this game a few weeks ago..beat it in a few nights..went back and did side quests and what not...its really sad that the side quests and what not are more interesting and exciting that the actual story line for the game itself. Not sure an expansion pack with snow and new potions will make up for it.
