There has been a big demand for Facebook to add the "Dislike" button to its repertoire, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before a third-party Facebook Dislike app hit the social network. Although this may seem like a work-around to get what you want (the ability to "Dislike" comments, posts, or articles), downloading the application may cause you to lose money.

Adding another entry into the Facebook scam hall of fame, installing the Dislike Button will allow the app to update your Facebook status without your knowing it, spreading the word about the app. Annoying, but not that dangerous. However, in order to complete installation, you will be required to take a quiz and enter your mobile number to complete. This is where things get hairy. Not only does the app now have your personal information on Facebook, but it also has your phone number, which could lead to all sorts of problems, illicit calls made from your cell phone being one of them.
As a general rule, I'm always wary about what apps I install on my Facebook page. Words to live by? Don't give out your personal information (phone number included) for a Facebook app or add-on.
