I guess since iPhones and iPads and other mobile devices are slowly starting to replace the newspaper and magazines of yore, this study makes sense . . . but that doesn't make it any less weird! According to a study by an Atlanta-based media firm, 27 percent of people use Facebook while in the bathroom. The study was conducted to benefit marketers by identifying new points of audience engagement. "Marketing is everywhere and anything can be marketing," according to person involved in the research.
Not surprisingly, more women than men fessed up to checking Facebook while in the loo (don't make me explain why). The study didn't differentiate between different devices, but whichever you choose to bring alone with you, make sure you're careful!
