Free iPhone 4 Case Program Ends Sept. 30

Free iPhone Case Offer Ends Sept. 30

You've heard the complaints of faulty antennas on the iPhone 4, seen Apple's response, and maybe even picked up a free iPhone 4 case of your own, but as of Sept. 30, Apple says, the free case program is over.

According to the official announcement, "the iPhone 4 antenna attenuation issue is even smaller than we originally thought." So no more free cases for everyone, though Apple will provide a free bumper case to users who contact Apple Care with proof that their phone has antenna problems requiring a case. Additionally, the announcement states that Apple's original iPhone return policy will go into effect beginning Oct. 1, which means that users returning their iPhone 4s will have to pay the original restocking fee that was temporarily lifted from iPhone returns.
