Geek of the Week: Rainn Wilson

So Rainn Wilson, aka the always hilarious Dwight Schrute on The Office, wasn't as funny as I thought he would be as the host of SNL, but that doesn't make him any less geeky in my book. Rainn was featured in Parade Magazine's "In Step With" section this weekend and I learned he is (gasp) off the market, was in Almost Famous (anyone remember him? I don't!) and his favorite song is "We Will Rock You," by Queen. Oh Rainn, you really are the geekiest man ever.

So does Rainn prefer being called a dork or a nerd or a geek? He told Parade: “I like a mishmash. You know—a nork or a deek.”

Does Rainn wear glasses in civilian life or only for his role on The Office? “I don’t need them all the time,” the actor admitted. “I have difficulty with distance, so I wear glasses for driving and watching television.”

I really like him. I love his answer for which name he perfers. I think it's so weird/but cool that he found a women named Holiday. ****"Everything in life is only for now."-Avenue Q****

I adore him- but I hate "We Will Rock You," by Queen. And I hate his name. No wonder he (and wife Holiday? Weird name coincidence?) named his son Walter. In "Almost Famous" he was a cigarillo-smoking editor at Rolling Stone. How about that he was one of the aliens in Galaxy Quest? Talk about casting... BaltimoreGal
