Google Gets Design Changes

Google Gets a Modern Facelift, New Functionality

If you've used Google to search over the past two days, you may have noticed its new look. According to a blog post, Google's "Spring Metamorphosis" is a response to the increasing power and importance of search, while reflecting the latest innovations in Google's search technology, "making it easier than ever to find exactly what you're looking for."

Changes to the search engine include a left-hand navigation, highlighting search tools and refinements to better narrow down your search. It also allows you to quickly search news, blogs, images, and more. Plus, it's customizable, so depending on your search preferences, you can change the appearance of the left-hand nav.

Additionally, Google updated its font and logo slightly, keeping the page "minimalist and whimsical" but giving the page a slightly more modern look. Check out the official Google blog post for more information on the changes. Do you like them?

The sidebar thing kinda bugs me. I'll get used to it though. Like Facebook. I can hardly remember what the old Facebook looks like. :P

I don't like it. I think the primary colors of their logo look cheesy wit hthe new interface . I have a much sleeker gmail theme, so when I bounce over to google it keeps surprising me.
