Hulu Plus Price Drop

Hulu Plus Price Drops to $8/Month; Will You Pay?

Hulu Plus, the subscription-based television and movie service, has lowered its price. When the service launched over the Summer, a subscription cost $10 per month; now it will cost $8, the same price as a streaming Netflix subscription.

While Hulu isn't releasing its current number of subscribers, many speculate that the service isn't all that popular. In fact, last month we heard rumors that the price would drop to $5 per month in an effort to woo more customers.

The last time I asked, most of you said you weren't using the service but might consider using it if the price was right. Would you be willing to try Hulu Plus for $8 per month?

Right now I wouldn't get any more from Plus that I get from the free service.

I actually have been using it at the higher price because I travel quite a bit and its great in hotels when I'm missing shows. Also I have to give them customer service points as they refunded all the early adopters $2 per month that you have been a member. I'm guessing so that people wouldn't be angry that they've been paying more as an invitation person and now that it's open to all the price drops. Whatever their motivation they just offered it up before anyone got a chance to be mad. Other companies should take note that this is the way to build customer loyalty and retention.

At $5 it would be a no brainer. At $8 its something I still need to think about.
