Infographic Shows Evolution of Facebook Privacy History

Privacy issues on Facebook have been all over the news after a recent update changed privacy settings again, and shortly after, concerns over leaked information and security surfaced. The changes are tough to follow, even for a technology buff like me, but a friend recently showed me an interesting infographic detailing evolution of privacy on Facebook over the years.

The animated graphic is designed like a pie chart, and clicking on the years to the right of the graphic fills in areas showing exactly how privacy has changed — and what, exactly you're sharing with Facebook, and in some cases, the entire Internet. The graph depicts how the changes have progressed assuming you're using Facebook's default privacy settings; if you've changed your preferences at all, some of the information will obviously not apply.
