Kids React to the Apple Watch, and It's Exactly What We're All Thinking

The Kids React YouTube series usually gives youngsters retro gadgets like old computers and Walkmans to play with — and their commentary always leaves us feeling pretty old. This time around, the kids got a piece of new technology: the Apple Watch.

Their reactions are just as honest as you'd hope — many already know what the watch is, but they don't know that certain features like texting are useless unless the watch is paired with an iPhone 5 or later. "Are you serious?" "That's just dumb." "I thought it just worked by itself." Still, overall they think it's pretty "awesome."

As for whether there's a need for the device? It's cool, but not necessary. "Nobody really needs a smartphone. Nobody needs this either," says one boy. "You don't need a TV, it's a cool thing to have."

Smart kid, but we have a feeling he won't keep that attitude for long.
